Featured Yoga Workshops and Advanced Asana Practice
Yoga is a science of the body and mind. This collection highlights moments from my workshops and personal practice where we bridge ancient scripture with physical discipline, creating a space for true health.
I demonstrate Kandasana by the serene waters of Gangaur Ghat. This advanced posture, named for the bulbous root or 'kanda' where our spiritual energy or Kundalini is said to reside, requires immense flexibility and focus. My practice aims to help you connect with this inner source of power and peace.
Leading a corporate yoga workshop, I guide office professionals through simple chair yoga stretches. These sessions are designed to be practical and accessible, helping to relieve desk-related stress, improve posture, and boost mental clarity right in the workplace.
In a posture of reverence before a sacred Shiva Lingam, I connect with the origins of yoga. My workshops are steeped in this ancient tradition, viewing yoga not just as exercise, but as a profound spiritual discipline or 'sadhana' for harmonizing body, mind, and spirit.
While holding Vrikshasana, the Tree Pose, I chant the Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra from the Rig Veda. This video demonstrates how I integrate foundational asanas with powerful mantras to create a practice that builds physical stability and cultivates inner peace and resilience.
Here I perform Bakasana, the Crane Pose, on a rock amidst a flowing waterfall. This arm-balancing asana builds significant upper body strength and concentration, teaching us to find stillness and stability even when surrounded by the constant motion of life.
Using yoga blocks to deepen the Paschimottanasana, or Seated Forward Bend. My therapeutic approach often incorporates props to make poses more accessible, allowing every student to safely explore their limits and destroy the sluggishness of the body.
Practicing Nadi Shuddhi Pranayama, or alternate nostril breathing, in a tranquil park. Breath, or 'prana', is our vital life force. In my workshops, I teach essential breathing techniques to calm the nervous system, reduce anxiety, and enhance overall energy levels.
About this collection
Beyond the physical postures, my teaching method integrates mythological narratives with anatomical precision. Whether you are joining a corporate chair yoga session or an advanced masterclass, we focus on Sadhana: a purposeful, daily discipline that transforms simple movement into deep, restorative practice.
My approach to yoga is rooted in the belief that movement should be both accessible and meaningful. You will notice that my workshops are not just about reaching a specific pose, but about understanding the story behind it. By connecting asanas like Trivikramasana or Bakasana to the wisdom found in the Vedas and Puranas, I aim to help you see your practice as a way to harmonize the body, mind, and spirit.
Accessible Practice for Modern Needs
I believe that yoga is for everyone, regardless of age or physical ability. In my sessions, we often use props like blocks and chairs to make complex postures reachable, ensuring that students can explore their limits safely. For office professionals, I conduct specialized corporate workshops where we focus on desk-based chair yoga, helping to correct posture and alleviate the tension built up during long work hours.
My Teaching Philosophy
My classes range from therapeutic one-on-one sessions for those managing chronic pain or stress, to group masterclasses that dive deep into technique. Whether we are practicing Nadi Shuddhi Pranayama for mental clarity or learning the mechanics of arm balances, my goal is the same: to help you cultivate resilience. If you are looking to start your journey or deepen an existing practice, my sessions offer a structured, traditional path forward, available both online and in-person in Ahmedabad.
