There's always a beautiful story behind a wedding cake. For this one, the couple wanted a replica of the Empire State Building, and we were so happy to create this towering, detailed structure for their special day. I can only imagine their love story started there!
This three-tiered wedding cake is a celebration of classic English piping techniques. I love the challenge of creating these intricate, delicate buttercream drapes and patterns. It’s a timeless style that brings so much elegance to a celebration.
For this beautiful wedding, we created a four-tier cake with traditional Lambeth piping. The topper was a custom-made candle stand, inspired by the chandelier at the venue, to make it truly personal for the couple.
A classic combination of red and white for a wedding is always a winner. This three-tiered cake features a textured crimson tier, a big fondant bow, and is adorned with fresh red and white roses for a romantic finish.

My approach combines rigorous structure with artistic detail. For classic weddings, I specialise in English Lambeth piping, delicate hand-wired sugar flowers, and gold leaf accents that add a touch of timeless elegance. If your vision is more modern or adventurous, I love the challenge of gravity-defying 3D structures and hand-carved cakes that look almost too real to eat.
The Process
- Consultation & Design: We start by talking about your style. Bring your mood boards, colour themes, and wild ideas. I love the unconventional.
- Tasting: A wedding cake must taste as good as it looks. My Cake Slice Boxes help you finalise flavours like Belgian Chocolate, Red Velvet, or Salted Caramel before we commit to the final bake.
- Structure & Stability: This is where my engineering background comes in. For tiered cakes, I use a central rod support system and internal doweling to ensure your cake stays perfect from delivery through the reception. For large installations, we plan the internal frame weeks in advance.
Whether you are hosting an intimate engagement in a garden or a massive wedding reception, I provide the logistical support needed, including on-site assembly and final touch-ups, so you have one less thing to worry about on your special day.
