Explore the precision and therapeutic depth of the Iyengar tradition. These sessions, rooted in the teachings of B.K.S. Iyengar, focus on structural alignment and conscious breath to cultivate both physical stability and mental clarity.

In our studio, we use specialized props like the rope wall for asanas such as Rope Sirsasana. This supported headstand variation helps to decompress the spine and calm the nervous system, making the therapeutic benefits of inversions accessible while ensuring safety and correct alignment.

The teachings of my Guru, B.K.S. Iyengar, have been sought by people from all walks of life, including distinguished athletes like Sachin Tendulkar. Guruji's profound knowledge of the body allowed him to apply yogic principles to treat injuries, enhance performance, and instill discipline.

Ustrasana, or Camel Pose, can be adapted for every level of practitioner. This sequence demonstrates modifications from beginner to advanced, using props to support the body and ensure that each student can safely explore the energizing benefits of this deep backbend.

In my workshops, we make even challenging postures like Parivrtta Ardha Chandrasana (Revolved Half Moon Pose) accessible through the intelligent use of props. Here, students use chairs to support their practice, allowing them to focus on the detoxifying twist and spinal extension without compromising balance.

This is a demonstration of a supported Savasana using the Simhasana Box and weights. This restorative setup opens the chest to improve breathing, supports the natural curvature of the spine, and uses gentle weight to ground the body, calming the nervous system and promoting deep relaxation.

The practice of back-bending asanas, such as this Eka Pada Urdhva Dhanurasana, cultivates not only physical strength and flexibility but also mental courage and emotional resilience. These invigorating postures are central to developing a potent and alert mind.

Yoga adapts to our life's circumstances. In this online class, we explored how to modify asanas for a student with a leg injury, using props to continue the practice safely and therapeutically. My live Zoom workshops provide real-time guidance, whether you are at home or traveling.

The philosophy of my Guru, B.K.S. Iyengar, is the foundation of my teaching. His wisdom, as shared in this quote, explains how practice evolves from a physical act to a sublime expression of intelligence, connecting the diminishing body with the eternal soul.

In these sessions, we prioritize the intelligent use of props—like wall ropes, bolsters, and chairs—to ensure that every student, regardless of existing injuries or experience, can explore poses safely. By shifting focus from a mechanical workout to precise anatomical alignment, we allow the body to release tension and the mind to move toward a state of focused introspection.
