I teach yoga as a precise science, not a casual workout. My classes focus on alignment, breath, and disciplined practice rooted in the Iyengar lineage.

This is how I teach. My instruction is direct because precision is key in Iyengar yoga. In this video from a class at Bellur, Guruji's birthplace, I am demonstrating how to use ropes correctly for Paschimottanasana, ensuring the body does not become passive.

With my Guruji, Padmavibhushana Dr. B.K.S. Iyengar. The knowledge I share comes directly from the many years I spent learning from him. His teachings are the foundation of every class I conduct.

Padmasana, or the Lotus Pose, is a fundamental meditative posture. In my pranayama classes, we first prepare the body with such asanas to build a stable and strong foundation for breathwork.

Here I am demonstrating Chair Sarvangasana, a supported shoulder stand. Using props like a chair allows the body to hold the posture correctly and safely, which is essential for gaining the full benefits of the asana.

This is Viparita Karani, or Legs-Up-the-Wall Pose, supported by a brick. We end every session with restorative postures like this to help the body absorb the effects of the practice and calm the nervous system.

Gomukhasana, or Cow Face Pose. This seated posture is excellent for opening the shoulders and hips. A strong and open body is necessary for sustained and effective pranayama practice.

About Featured

I do not use props to make poses easy. In my classes, we use chairs, ropes, and blocks to correct alignment and deepen the posture. If your elbow is dropping or your spine is not straight, the prop tells you. My instruction is direct because in this tradition, you must learn to correct yourself before you can advance.
