The Iyengar Method: Precision with Props

In the Iyengar tradition, we use props like chairs, ropes, blocks, and belts not as crutches, but as tools for exploration and precision. They help every student, regardless of age or flexibility, to achieve correct alignment, hold poses safely, and experience the full depth of each asana.

Inversions: Rejuvenating the Body & Mind

Known as the king of asanas, inversions like Sirsasana (Headstand) and Sarvangasana (Shoulderstand) reverse the effects of gravity, promoting healthy blood flow to the brain and vital glands. This practice rejuvenates brain cells, calms the nervous system, and cultivates mental clarity and stability.

Backbends: Building Energy & Courage

Back-bending asanas are invigorating postures that open the chest, stretch the spine, and stimulate the nervous system. Regular practice helps to counteract depression and fear, build emotional resilience, and cultivate a sense of vitality and alertness in both body and mind.

Forward Bends, Twists & Standing Poses

This collection covers the foundational work of our practice. Standing poses build stability from the ground up, while forward bends and twists quiet the nervous system, bringing the mind inward for a deeply introspective and calming experience.

Restorative & Therapeutic Sequences

My workshops often focus on the therapeutic application of yoga for specific conditions like joint pain, hormonal imbalance, or stress management. Using precise alignment and supportive props, we adapt the practice to promote healing, restore energy, and bring the body back into a state of equilibrium.

In the Studio: Group & Online Workshops

I offer focused, immersive workshops both in my Delhi studio and live online via Zoom. These sessions provide a space for students of all levels to deepen their practice in a supportive community, with detailed guidance and hands-on adjustments.

The Lineage: My Gurus & Philosophy

My teaching is a direct transmission of the knowledge I received from my gurus: B.K.S. Iyengar, his daughter Geetaji, and his son Prashantji. I strive to be a dedicated conduit for their teachings, honoring the parampara (lineage) with reverence and discipline.
