Flow arts is my moving meditation. Whether it's the steady rhythm of poi or the breezy dance of the dapo, I’d love to help you find your flow. No experience? No worries—we start with the basics, together. ✨

Spinning my dapo star at the beach in Goa. Dapo is a type of spinning cloth that is so much fun to play with, especially with the ocean breeze.

Taking my dapo for a spin at a festival. Its bright colors and flowing movement always attract smiles and curiosity. It's a simple prop with a lot of expressive potential.

Practicing a move where I combine waist hooping with spinning the dapo. I love exploring how different flow props can be used together to create new challenges and combinations.

A quiet moment of practice with my poi in the park. Learning poi has been a great way to challenge my brain and body in new ways, focusing on rhythm and timing.

A little feature from Indie Flow, showing me flowing with both poi and hoops by a lake. I'm a versatile movement artist who loves exploring all kinds of props.

Another shot of me spinning the dapo at a market. I really do take it everywhere! It's so light and easy to carry, perfect for a spontaneous flow session.

Spinning the dapo star against the Mumbai skyline at The Lil Flea. The geometric shape and vibrant pattern look so cool as they spin.

About this collection

Unlike complex dance forms, poi and dapo are about finding the rhythm of the prop first. You don't need prior dance experience to begin, just a bit of open space. My sessions break down the momentum mechanics, so you can stop worrying about your feet and just focus on the flow.

Flow arts like poi spinning and dapo are more than just tricks—they are a way to quiet the mind. When you spin poi, you are building coordination by challenging your brain to track movement in 3D space, which is honestly the best brain-fog cure I’ve found.

Dapo, on the other hand, is all about the breeze. It’s light, playful, and the most portable practice I have. Whether you're a complete beginner or looking to pick up a new skill, we start with the fundamentals—grip, plane control, and timing.

These are low-pressure, high-fun sessions. I bring the props, and we move at a pace that feels good for your body. If you want to build a regular practice, we can focus on building a 'flow state' routine, or if you just want a fun 60-minute session to de-stress, that works too. We keep it grounded, steady, and full of play.

I’m Gowri. I believe movement is medicine, whether I'm spinning poi, playing with a dapo, or just moving my body to feel good. I don't teach to create perfect dancers; I teach so you can find your own flow, release tension, and have a little fun while doing it.
