Discover Your Rhythm with Flow Arts Workshops & Performance
Movement is medicine. Explore the meditative practice of poi, the energy of fire, and the joy of learning with me in Bangalore and beyond.
This is the feeling I want to share with everyone. A moment from a fire poi performance in front of an audience, where the energy of the crowd and the flame become one. This is the magic we can create together.
Ready to start your own journey? This is an invitation to my group workshops in Bangalore, where we explore props like Silk Fans and Poi. We end the day with a fire jam, a perfect introduction to the art in a safe, professional setting.
It brings me so much joy to see students like Arnav master the fundamentals. I offer personalized one-on-one poi training for kids and adults, focusing on playful learning and building a strong foundation.
Flow is often a shared language. Here, my partner and I are connecting through the dance of fire poi, moving in sync under the night sky. Many of my courses end with a duet jam to celebrate this collaborative spirit.
The contact staff is an extension of the body, a dance of balance and control. This is a clip of me exploring movement with a fire contact staff, a prop that teaches focus and presence.
Flow arts isn't just for the night. I love finding a large open space to practice with my daytime poi, feeling the rhythm and enjoying the simple happiness of movement. This is the kind of childlike excitement I bring into my beginner classes.
Unleashing the dragon. Working with a dragon poi is pure, visual poetry, especially against a sunset. It's a beautiful prop that combines the grace of silk with the dynamic patterns of poi.
My art takes me to incredible places, like the Himalayan Flow Gathering. I travel across India for festivals, sharing my skills and learning from a community of inspiring artists.
I believe everyone has a flow waiting to be discovered. I'm announcing a beginner poi workshop, a space for you to jump in and learn the basics. I'm always excited to share this beautiful art form with new people.
There's a special energy when you flow with a friend. This is a partner poi session with my flowmie, practicing a stall chaser sequence in the park. Our group workshops are all about this sense of community and fun.
About Featured
When you join a workshop at Bangalore Creative Circus, you aren't just learning tricks. We start with the basics of plane control and grip work, but the true focus is helping you unlock your own rhythm. It is about moving intuitively so that the prop becomes an extension of your body, rather than something you are fighting to control.
Flow arts is a journey, not a destination. Whether you are picking up poi for the first time or refining your staff techniques, my approach is grounded in movement medicine. My workshops, held regularly at Bangalore Creative Circus in Yeshwanthpur, are designed to create a safe space for this exploration. We start with the fundamentals: understanding planes, timing, and posture. These are the building blocks that allow you to move with confidence.
For those looking to deepen their practice, I offer structured courses that take you from total beginner to executing your own choreographed routines. And yes, for the brave, we often close these sessions with a supervised fire spinning experience. Safety is my priority, so I ensure everyone has a thorough briefing and clear guidance before we touch the fire. If you prefer a one-on-one setting, I offer private sessions across Bangalore where we can fix micro-postures and work specifically on the props that interest you most, be it silk fans, dragon staff, or standard poi. Flowing is a skill that anyone can learn, and my goal is to guide you through the process, helping you find the same meditative joy that has kept me spinning since I was a kid on the streets.

I am Swaroop. I have been spinning props since I was a kid chasing wild energy on the streets, and today, that same excitement fuels my teaching. I love helping people discover that flow is not about perfection, but about finding a rhythm that feels uniquely yours.
