Beginner Flow Arts Workshops in Bengaluru
Get out of your head and into your body. My workshops are about finding your flow state through hoop dance, poi, and dapo, no matter how clumsy you think you are.
This is a typical scene from one of my workshops. You can see everyone spread out, practicing with different props like poi and juggling clubs at their own pace. It's a very hands on and relaxed learning environment.
A happy group shot from an outdoor hoop flow session. We provide all the props, so you just need to show up and be ready to play and connect with some cool people.
Here I am giving some pointers during a hoop workshop. I work with each person to help them get comfortable with the prop, whether it's learning a new trick or just getting the hoop to spin.
This is what it's all about. A student completely lost in the moment, finding her own unique connection with the hoop against a backdrop of bamboo. Flow is a state of mind.
Two participants practicing together during a hoop dance workshop. The community aspect is huge; we all learn from and hype each other up.
A candid shot of a student smiling as she gets the hang of her hoop. You don't need any prior experience, just a willingness to try something new.
The joy of learning is clear on her face. This is from a beginner hoop session where we focused on core movements and having a good time.
The whole crew after a weekend flow workshop at Bangalore Creative Circus. It feels good to bring so many people together and share the art of flow.
About Our Workshops: Find Your Flow
You don't need rhythm or prior experience to start this. My 2-hour group sessions are built for absolute beginners, focusing on basics like grip, planes, and rhythm with props like hoops or poi. I provide all the gear, so you just show up, mess up, and learn to find your own flow.
Whether you are looking for a fresh hobby, a fun way to exercise, or just a bit of movement meditation, my workshops are designed to get you started from scratch. We break down complex-looking moves into simple, manageable steps, focusing on wrist mobility, grip techniques, and plane control.
We primarily use hoops, poi, and dapo. If you think you are uncoordinated, you will fit right in. That is actually the best place to start. In our 2-hour drop-in sessions, I provide all the practice props—so you do not need to buy anything to begin. We keep groups small, typically between 5 to 15 people, to make sure everyone gets enough attention and nobody feels lost.
If you want to go deeper, my 4-week 'Zero to Flow' course helps you master transitions and build a short, cohesive routine. We have hosted sessions at vibrant spots around Bangalore like the Bangalore Creative Circus. If you prefer one-on-one attention or have specific goals like mastering a contact staff roll, I also do private coaching. Come for the flow, stay for the community, and let us see what you can create.
