My Flow Journey: Mindful Movement & Hula Hoop Practice
Movement is my way of returning to myself. This collection is a raw look at my daily practice—the sunrise seaside sessions, the rooftop bloopers, and finding 'Sthira, sukha' in every spin.
Trying to combine shuffling with hooping on my rooftop. It didn't go perfectly, but it was so much fun to try something new and just play around with different dance styles.
Just feeling the rhythm and moving my body. This is what flow is all about for me: letting my inner self guide the dance.
A quiet, contemplative moment captured during a photoshoot by the water. Sometimes the most powerful movement is found in stillness.
A fun video showing off some cozy winter activewear while playing with my twin hoops. My practice changes with the seasons, but the flow is always there.
This video shows the reality of practice. One moment you're in a perfect flow, and the next, the hoop has a mind of its own! I'm learning to embrace the mishaps as part of the journey.
A beautiful sunset hoop flow by the ocean. Moments like these feel absolutely magical and remind me why I fell in love with this art form.
Another artistic shot from my "lost & found" series. Movement in nature helps me reconnect with my core self.
A little splish-splash with my hoop in the pool! It’s always fun to experiment with flowing in different environments, and the water adds a whole new challenge.
A happy moment during a rooftop hoop session. A reminder to give yourself grace and be exactly where you need to be in your practice.
An expressive black and white photo that feels like taking flight. This captures the feeling of freedom that movement gives me.
About My Flow Journey
I’m often asked if my flow is always perfect. The truth is, my practice is a mix of failed transitions, messy hair, and moments of pure connection. Whether I’m practicing yoga or hooping, I’m not chasing a perfect shape, just steadiness and ease in my own body.
My journey didn't start with hoops. My roots are in Indian classical dance—years of training in Bharatanatyam and Kuchipudi gave me the foundation of discipline and grace I use today. When I teach, I carry that same reverence for the body.
I focus on what feels steady and easy for you. There are no one-size-fits-all shapes here. If you’re stiff, young, old, or a total beginner, there’s a place for you. We mix 10-minute yoga asana sequences for spine mobility with hooping tricks, breathwork, and flow arts. It’s about building a supportive community and releasing tension through movement.
My sessions are 60 minutes of focused instruction. I provide all the equipment (Polypro or collapsible hoops), and we film a progress video together so you can see how far you have come. We move in parks, on rooftops, or in your own home across Bengaluru. Let’s stop worrying about getting it right and just start moving.
