Why I Teach Fletcher Pilates
I started off as a dancer, so movement has always been my thing. Injuries and self-doubt crept in, but Fletcher Pilates helped me reconnect with my body. I’m here to help you feel at home in yours - not to make you smaller, but to help you feel strong, aware, and happier in your own skin. As my mentor Ron used to say, "Every Body is beautiful."
What Makes Fletcher Pilates Different
This isn’t just regular Pilates. It’s got roots in the original method, but with a dancer’s flow, focus, and detail - thanks to Ron Fletcher. The main things I focus on:
- Fletcher Percussive Breathing technique, which really changes how you move and feel.
- Quality over quantity: moving with intention, not just reps.
- Nailing the basics like alignment and spine movement before anything else.

My Story
Hey, I'm Akshata. Movement’s been my thing since forever – started with dance, then Fletcher Pilates found me in Arizona. Came back to India, first one here teaching it, felt totally lost at first – just two folks in my first class! Running this as a business? Not easy. But I stuck to my gut. I’m not here to sell weight loss – I just want you to feel strong and good in your own skin. Every body’s beautiful, bas (that’s it).
My Work
Fletcher Pilates classes & workshops - I run virtual workshops, offline mat classes, and Pilates & dance fusion sessions. All levels welcome.
Beginner-friendly and open to all - Never tried Pilates? No problem. My classes are for dancers, yoga teachers, office folks, anyone curious about moving better.
Focus on awareness and posture - We work on breath, alignment, those tiny muscles, and real-life movement. It’s about understanding your body.
Fletcher Pilates teacher training - I offer virtual, internationally certified teacher training for anyone in India wanting to teach Fletcher Pilates.
