My matwork classes aren't about mindless reps; they're about learning to breathe, move, and feel strong in your own skin. Whether you're a total beginner or a dancer looking to sharpen your form, this is where we build your foundation, one breath at a time.

A glimpse into the foundational movements of Fletcher Matwork 1. We focus on the well-planned transitions that lead into each piece, creating a seamless and intelligent flow.

A short flow combining some essential mat exercises like downward dog, the teaser, and swan. This is a great example of how we build strength and flexibility on the mat.

This is a simple progression to a plank, created for a magazine during the pandemic. It shows how we build strength from a foundational level, focusing on alignment and control.

To begin, begin. Sometimes the hardest part is just starting. Just unroll your mat and the rest will follow. This is the first step to building a consistent practice.

A throwback to a beautiful moment of practice in Sri Lanka. Pilates isn't confined to a studio; it's about finding your connection to movement wherever you are.

About Fletcher Matwork: The Foundation

You won't find loud music or aggressive counting here. In these sessions, I teach you the Fletcher Percussive Breathing technique—a rhythmic way to engage your deep core that feels entirely different from standard gym Pilates. It’s hands-on, specific, and designed to help you find alignment, even if you’ve never touched a Pilates mat before. We work in small batches so I can actually see you and correct your posture, ensuring you leave feeling taller, not just tired.
