Why I Teach Fletcher Pilates
My path started with dance, took a detour through injury, and landed me in Pilates when I needed it most. I believe, like Ron Fletcher did, that every body is beautiful. My aim isn’t to shrink you or make you fit into a box. It’s to help you feel strong, aware, and at home in your own skin, even when things get messy or unpredictable. Sometimes a class is full, sometimes only one person shows up - that's life, na? But the real work is in showing up and learning, no matter what.
What This Training Offers
This is the first Fletcher Pilates Matwork India course. It’s the exact same international Pilates teaching certification I earned in Arizona. The training is rooted in Ron Fletcher Pilates lineage, with a focus on movement that’s both powerful and graceful. We go deep - not just “do asanas”, but understanding why each movement matters. The course covers all 32 Matwork exercises, Fletcher Fundamentals training, and Percussive Breathing Pilates course techniques.

My Story
Hey, I'm Akshata. Movement’s been my thing since forever – started with dance, then Fletcher Pilates found me in Arizona. Came back to India, first one here teaching it, felt totally lost at first – just two folks in my first class! Running this as a business? Not easy. But I stuck to my gut. I’m not here to sell weight loss – I just want you to feel strong and good in your own skin. Every body’s beautiful, bas (that’s it).
My Work
Fletcher Pilates classes & workshops - I run virtual workshops, offline mat classes, and Pilates & dance fusion sessions. All levels welcome.
Beginner-friendly and open to all - Never tried Pilates? No problem. My classes are for dancers, yoga teachers, office folks, anyone curious about moving better.
Focus on awareness and posture - We work on breath, alignment, those tiny muscles, and real-life movement. It’s about understanding your body.
