Why I Teach Classical Pilates

I started teaching Classical Pilates in India because I believe in the old-school, no-nonsense method. This isn’t just about following fitness fads - it’s about real, lifelong results. The six basics - breathing, focus, control, centering, flow, and precision - shape every session I teach.

What to Expect in My Classes

  • All classes stick to the roots of Classical Pilates training.
  • I keep things hands-on. You’ll hear me correcting posture, guiding alignment, and making sure you get it right, every time.
  • Whether you’re joining small group Pilates sessions or want one-on-one time, I adapt the moves to your body - not the other way round.
  • I work with all kinds of folks: total newbies, men keen on building core strength, athletes wanting an edge, and people coming back from injuries (Pilates for injury rehabilitation is something I know inside out).
  • Women’s health is close to my heart - prenatal Pilates classes, postnatal support, and help for PCOS or menopause.

The Studio and Experience

My studio on Lavelle Road is kitted out with all the original gear - Reformer, Cadillac, Wunda Chair, and more. It’s a proper space for the real deal, not some watered-down version.

My Story

Hi, we’re Pilates for Wellbeing. Seventeen years back, I (Kavita) stumbled into the world of Classical Pilates in Dubai, then got swept away by the magic at The Pilates Center, Boulder. That place, those mentors - pura alag hi level tha (it was something else). No way I could keep it to myself. Ten years ago, brought it to India, set up this studio. Even got my mentor Amy here last year. Still feels unreal, honestly. Grateful every day.
