Self-Defense Training for Everyone: Become Your Own Bodyguard
Martial arts isn't just for the young or athletic. Whether you're 18 or 80, I'll teach you how to protect yourself with a plan that fits your strength.
Our mission is to help you overcome your limitations and unlock your potential. This training is for anyone who wants to learn how to protect themselves.
This is what my training delivers. You will become stronger, fitter, and more confident, transforming not just your body, but your entire life.
Some people think martial arts is only for the young and athletic. I disagree. At Fighting Fit, I believe everyone deserves to feel safe and empowered.
Join us and start your journey to becoming your own bodyguard. It all starts with the decision to take control of your own safety.
About For Everyone: Be Your Own Bodyguard
When you train with me, we don't start with cardio or pushups. We start by looking at what your body can currently do. If you have bad knees or haven't worked out in a decade, that's fine. My job is to adapt techniques from Filipino Kali and Krav Maga so they work for you, not for some theoretical athlete.
Training for Real Life
Most people think martial arts is about winning tournaments or showing off kicks. In my classes, we strip that away. We focus on the 'Shinkali' method—a blend of Filipino stick fighting (Kali, Arnis, Eskrima) and Japanese street-defense techniques.
Why it Works
- Weapon of Opportunity: You learn to use what is around you—a bag, a pen, or just your own movement—to create distance and safety.
- Adaptive Methodology: We work with your existing biomechanics. If you are taller, we use your reach. If you are smaller, we use leverage. This isn't about fitting a mold; it's about making your body a tool for protection.
- The 'Battle Within': The physical training is only half of it. You will learn to manage adrenaline and handle the psychological pressure of a real conflict.
Where We Train
I conduct sessions in settings that aren't sterilized gyms. We train on concrete in Bandra or on the dirt at Powai Forest Park. This 'un-gym' environment is intentional. You need to know how to move when the ground is uneven and the air is real, not when you are on a padded mat in an air-conditioned room.
If you have the will to learn, I will find a way to train you. We are all students, and we are all capable of becoming our own bodyguards.
