About Weapon-Based Martial Arts
My Approach: Survival, Not Sport
I’m Hemaal Shah and for me, weapon-based martial arts means learning how to handle real threats, not point scoring. If you’re looking to be your own bodyguard, this is your jam. I don’t care if you’re a gym freak or you’ve never thrown a punch. The main rule is: safety first, but if that’s not possible, you gotta know how to hit back hard.
Who’s This For?
Anyone. Seriously. A weapon doesn’t care about your size, age, or how fit you are. Technique matters more than muscle. If you want to learn, I’ll help you find a way. Yeh training sab ke liye hai (this training is for everyone).
What We Train
I focus on Filipino stick fighting techniques (Kali, Arnis, Eskrima) - you’ll get hands-on with single/double sticks, knife self-defense skills, and disarming moves. My SHINKALI method mixes Filipino and Japanese styles, so you get locks, grappling, and streetwise combos. Indian Lathi martial arts gives you a taste of desi tradition and long stick mastery.
Training Formats
Pick what fits you - regular weekend batches, deep-dive workshops, or multi-day Tactical Edge camps. Expect drills, military games, and lots of sweat.
Beyond Combat
This isn’t just about fighting. You’ll get fitter, sharper, and more confident. Learn to use everyday items as weapons of opportunity, boost your focus, and handle pressure when things get real.
I’m always learning, always teaching. If you’re up for it, let’s get Fighting Fit together.

My Story
Hey, Sensei H here, or just call me Hemaal if you like. Fighting Fit is more than a gym. It's about facing your own battles, not just punching bags. On my 53rd, I rode 1200 km with my students, fell off the bike, busted my knee, but had zero regrets. Been learning and teaching martial arts for 28 years, still believe anyone can get fighting fit – young, old, doesn’t matter. We’re all students, all warriors.
My Work
Personalized martial arts and fitness training - We mix kickboxing, MMA, Kali stick fighting, Krav Maga, Japanese Jiujitsu, Silambam, and Mudgar for a unique approach.
Self-defence for all ages and abilities - Doesn’t matter if you’re 18 or 80, I’ll help you build a step-by-step plan that fits your strength and needs.
Outdoor martial arts classes - Sometimes we train in nature, like Powai Forest Park, for a fresh mind and stronger body.
Real-world street defence focus - We teach what works outside the dojo. No sports fluff, just practical skills for unpredictable situations.
Blending traditional and non-traditional styles - We break the rules, mix arts, and adapt so you’re ready for anything. One system doesn’t fit all.
