Outdoor Adventure Martial Arts Training
Ditch the gym for the wild. We combine forest training, stick fighting, and bike rides to build skills that work in the real world.
Coaching a student during our Sunday morning session at Powai Forest Park. Training outdoors sharpens your awareness and teaches you to adapt to uneven ground.
The sharpness of the sword is in the hand of the warrior. Here you can see the results of hard training on our rattan sticks after a session in the forest.
The Shivakali Warrior Tribe on a road trip to Bhimashankar. We ride, train, eat, and repeat, blending our passion for martial arts with the freedom of the open road.
Every scar makes me who I am. This was taken during a one-day ride and train event with my warrior tribe at Tungareshwar.
Dear Future, I am ready. This is the mindset we build. It's not just about fighting, it's about being prepared for whatever life throws at you.
An invitation to one of our training trips. We believe in breaking the routine, going wild for a while, and training in new and challenging environments.
Meditation doesn't always mean sitting still. For us, the focused flow of martial arts training is a form of active meditation.

About Beyond the Dojo: Adventure Training
Training outdoors at places like Powai Forest Park forces you to stop relying on flat, predictable gym floors. You will learn to handle uneven dirt, low light, and natural obstacles. This is where you test if your Kali or Krav Maga really works when the environment is not perfect.
Why We Leave The Dojo
Real-world self-defense does not happen on rubber mats. It happens on concrete, dirt, or slippery slopes. By training in the forest, we introduce variables you cannot simulate in a gym. You learn to balance while striking, maintain your stance on uneven ground, and adapt your weapons when the space is tight. This is not about getting a workout; it is about building a survivor mindset.
The Shivakali Warrior Tribe
This is about more than just fighting. Our 'Ride, Train, Eat, Repeat' mantra brings us together on long bike rides to places of historical and spiritual significance. We treat these trips as active meditation. You are not just learning to use a stick or defend against a blade; you are learning to integrate these skills into your life, your travel, and your adventure.
What To Expect
Expect military-style drills mixed with nature. We focus on:
- Kali & Weapon Mechanics: Using sticks and blades in natural environments.
- Shinrin-yoku: Using the forest atmosphere for sensory engagement and focus.
- Real-World Adaptability: Learning to use what is around you, whether it is a branch or just your own two hands.
Whether you are 18 or 80, if you have the will, I will find a way to train you. This is for the person who wants to be ready for anything, not just the one who wants a certificate on the wall.
