This is a practical demonstration of how to escape a rear hold, or a 'bear hug' from behind. We focus on using the attacker's momentum against them to break free and create a safe distance, a crucial skill for real-world self-protection.

A glimpse into one of my women's self-defense workshops. I create a supportive and encouraging space where women can learn effective striking and blocking techniques, building both their skills and their confidence in a group setting.

Learning to defend against a knife threat is about control and de-escalation. Here, I am breaking down the technique step-by-step, showing how to control the weapon-bearing arm and disarm an attacker safely.
