Community Self-Defense and Awareness
Martial arts doesn't belong only in a gym. I bring my training to parks, schools, and local events to help people understand that being safe is a skill anyone can learn.
At the 2023 Bawa Juniorthon, making people aware of what we do at Fighting Fit. It's important to teach self-defense concepts from a young age.
My team and I at our stand during the Juniorthon event. We had our training gear on display to show people the tools we use to build confidence and skill.
About Community & Outreach
Getting out into the community is how we break the myth that martial arts is only for the young and fit. Whether it is an event like the Bawa Juniorthon or a local workshop, I bring the gear to you. You get to touch the Kali sticks, hold the pads, and see that these are not scary tools but ways to build confidence. It is about meeting you where you are, not waiting for you to walk into my dojo.
I don't believe in keeping martial arts locked away in a private gym. My outreach sessions at places like the Juniorthon are built around one core philosophy: awareness. When I set up my stand, my goal isn't to sell a course. I want to show parents and kids that self-defense is a survival skill, just like swimming or first aid.
At these events, I keep the training gear accessible. You will see the Kali sticks, focus pads, and protection gear out in the open. It is for kids, adults, and everyone who thinks they aren't fit enough to start. We strip away the intimidating layer of combat sports and talk about the practical reality of being safe in an unpredictable city like Mumbai.
If you have walked past us at an event, you know I am usually the guy with the sticks in hand, ready to talk about why we need to move from fear to preparation. Reach out if you want me to bring this conversation to your school, residential society, or community group. We make it simple, we make it practical, and we make sure you leave knowing a little bit more than you did when you arrived.
