I take performance training off the gym floor and directly onto the pitch. Whether it's for the Indian National Team or local clubs, I design sport-specific conditioning programs that sharpen agility, reaction speed, and game-ready fitness.

A dream come true. Here I am leading a conditioning session with the Indian National Women's Football Team. Applying my principles of movement and strength on the field with elite athletes is the culmination of years of dedication to the process.

Every drill has a purpose. Leading the national team through agility ladder exercises to improve footwork, coordination, and quickness. These foundational skills are essential for high-level performance in a dynamic sport like football.

Coaching on the field is about clear communication and observation. Here, I am overseeing a drill, ensuring the athletes are executing the movements with the correct intent and technique to maximize the training effect.

A dynamic warm-up for the Indian National Team. Here, the players engage in a reaction drill, forcing them to stay mentally sharp and physically ready. Competition during warm-ups is a great way to prime the nervous system for the session ahead.

A wide view of a team training session on the pitch. Organizing and conducting drills for a large group requires careful planning to ensure every athlete is engaged and working towards the session's goals, whether it's speed, agility, or endurance.

Training should be effective and enjoyable. Here, athletes from the national team engage in priming drills that challenge their stability and coordination, setting a positive and focused tone for the session.

A header challenge during a team warm-up. This drill improves reaction time, proprioception, and aerial ball skills in a fun, competitive setting. It's about making athletes better while keeping them engaged.

Partner drills, like this stability ball wrestling exercise, are great for building functional strength and stability in a reactive environment. It forces athletes to adapt to an opponent's force, mimicking the physical contests they face in a match.

A goalkeeper-specific drill on the field. Even within a team setting, training must be tailored to the unique demands of each position. Here, we are working on explosive lateral movement and reaction speed.

Leading a strength and conditioning session for coaches at the FIFA Women’s Development Programme in Kolkata. Sharing practical strategies and contributing to the growth of football fitness in India is a passion of mine.

About On-Field & Team Training

The gym is where you build the engine, but the field is where you test it. When I lead sessions for groups like the Indian National Football Team or at FIFA coaching workshops, every drill is calculated. We don't just run laps; we use cognitive load drills, agility ladders, and reaction-based exercises that force the nervous system to adapt to match-day chaos. If you are a coach or a team organizer, my goal is to help you structure these variables so your athletes are physically resilient and mentally sharper when the game is on the line.
