Fitness & Agility Development for Athletes
Real performance starts with conditioning. Whether you are prepping for a tournament or just want to move better on the court, my training programs focus on the strength and speed that actually translate into game-time results.
A group of my young athletes builds foundational skills with an outdoor agility ladder session. These drills are fun but crucial for developing the quick feet and coordination needed in racket sports.
A group of adult players starts their session with agility ladder drills on the squash court. This is a perfect warm-up to activate the muscles and sharpen footwork before picking up the racket.
Building a strong cardiovascular base is non-negotiable. This clip shows me and my athletes during a focused treadmill running session, designed to build the stamina required for long, grueling matches.
A look into our morning cardio routine. Athletes are using treadmills and stationary bikes to get their heart rate up, an essential part of our comprehensive fitness training for squash players.
About Fitness & Agility Development
Most athletes neglect their footwork until they miss a critical shot. We use dedicated agility ladder drills as a standard part of our warm-ups, not just to look good, but to sharpen the reflexes and coordination required to react faster to the ball during a match.
Physical conditioning is the engine that drives your game, but many players get stuck in repetitive gym routines that don't help when they step onto the court. My approach is different. I prioritize sports-specific movements that bridge the gap between lifting weights and winning points.
Why Agility Training Matters
Your strength means very little if you can't get to the ball in time. We focus on:
- Explosive Footwork: Using ladder drills to build the quick, precise steps needed for squash, badminton, and football.
- Cardiovascular Stamina: Using targeted treadmill and cycle work to build endurance so you don't gas out in the final set.
- Injury Prevention: Mobility and core strengthening to ensure you stay on the court, not on the sidelines.
Where We Train
I conduct these sessions at several venues across Bangalore, including the Indian School of Sports in Bellandur, PLaY Arena in Kasavanahalli, and St. Peter's School in Kaikondrahalli. My sessions are structured to be inclusive, whether you are a beginner looking to get active or an elite player refining your reaction time.
If you are tired of generic gym workouts that don't make you a better player, come train with me. We focus on the science of movement and the discipline of consistency. Let's get to work.
