International Yoga Day Community Sessions and Workshops
Yoga is about connection, whether it is with yourself or a wider community. These photos capture the energy of sharing my practice on International Yoga Day.
Standing on stage, ready to begin our group session for International Yoga Day. It was a beautiful opportunity to connect with so many fellow yoga lovers and share the practice that has given me so much.
A moment of gratitude on stage before leading the International Yoga Day practice. Sharing this space with the community is a reminder that yoga unites us all in our journey of kindness and self-discovery.
Demonstrating a variation of Sirsasana (headstand) on stage during the International Yoga Day event. My goal was to show that with practice, we can find stability and grace even when our world is turned upside down.
Another view of my headstand demonstration for International Yoga Day. I believe yoga is a celebration of what our bodies and minds can achieve, and it was a joy to share this moment.
Holding a steady headstand pose during the International Yoga Day celebration. This asana represents focus and balance, two key elements that yoga helps cultivate in our daily lives.
A final shot of the headstand pose from the International Yoga Day event. I hope my practice inspires others to explore their own potential and find strength through yoga.
About International Yoga Day Celebration
Leading a large group for International Yoga Day requires balancing accessible Hatha flows with clear, audible cues so everyone follows along comfortably. I focus on modifying poses for different fitness levels, ensuring that even in a crowded space, you feel like you are getting personal attention during the practice.
Yoga is more than just individual exercise. It is a way to build resilience and share a sense of peace with others, which is exactly why I love leading community sessions on International Yoga Day.
My Approach to Group Sessions
When I teach in larger settings, my priority is Sthira Sukham, or finding that balance between stability and ease. I structure these sessions to include foundational movements from Hatha and Vinyasa that are safe for everyone, from absolute beginners to regular practitioners. The goal is to move the body, calm the mind, and leave feeling a little lighter than when you arrived.
Bringing the Practice Home
If you enjoyed the energy of these sessions, you might be interested in my daily online or offline classes. Whether you join my 5-day-a-week Hatha and Vinyasa online batches or attend the in-studio group sessions in R.R. Nagar, the philosophy remains the same. We focus on:
- Personalized Corrections: Even in group settings, I prioritize alignment, providing verbal cues or physical adjustments to help you avoid injury.
- Consistency: My online classes are designed to fit your daily routine, with flexible morning and evening slots.
- Holistic Wellness: Every session includes time for Pranayama and guided relaxation, helping you manage stress outside the mat.
Yoga is a journey of evolution. If you are ready to start yours or want to deepen your current practice, let us connect and find a routine that makes you feel strong, comfortable, and happy.
