Glimpses from our International Yoga Day event at Yol Army Cantt in Dharamshala. We organized a large session and awarded certificates to participants, celebrating "Yoga for One Earth, One Health."
A collage from our 10th International Yoga Day celebration. It shows our family of instructors leading the session on stage and our community practicing together in a beautiful outdoor setting.
A wide view of our International Yoga Day event, with dozens of participants moving together in unison. There is a special energy when so many people practice with a shared intention.
Another angle from our large-scale yoga event, showing the vibrant and energetic atmosphere. We believe in making yoga accessible and enjoyable for everyone in the community.
Students fully expressing Chakrasana (Wheel Pose) during our International Yoga Day celebration in the park. It's inspiring to see such dedication and flexibility across our community.
More backbends from our park yoga session. We guide students through poses like Bridge Pose and Wheel Pose to help open the heart and strengthen the back.
Students practicing Sarvangasana (Shoulder Stand) during our outdoor event. This inversion is known as the "queen of all asanas" for its wide-ranging health benefits.
About this collection
There is a distinct energy that arises when a community moves together. In these sessions, we prioritize collective breathing and shared rhythm over complex postures, ensuring that everyone—from children to grandparents—feels welcome, capable, and connected to the group.
Yoga is often seen as a personal pursuit, but some of our most meaningful progress happens when we practice together. We organize these community events, such as our annual International Yoga Day celebrations at Yol Army Cantt in Dharamshala or our weekend park sessions in Noida, to remove the barrier between 'expert' and 'beginner'.
Why We Host These Gatherings
- Inclusive Practice: In a large group, you realize you are not alone in your struggles or your growth. We scale our Hatha yoga flows so a 6-year-old and a 60-year-old can both participate without intimidation.
- Outdoor Energy: Moving your body under the open sky, whether in a Noida park or the mountains of Himachal, changes your perspective. It brings a level of vitality that an indoor studio sometimes cannot replicate.
- Building Connections: We are not just a class; we are a family. Many of our students have been with us for over a decade, and these events are where new friendships are formed and old bonds are strengthened.
We keep the focus on the basics: Pranayama, simple asanas, and maintaining a positive attitude. Whether you are looking for outdoor yoga sessions, group mindfulness workshops, or just a place to find balance in your daily life, you will find a spot on our mats. We invite you to join us, breathe deep, and as I always say, hamesha muskurate rahe (always keep smiling).
Ajay Kharbanda
I am Dr. Ajay. I believe yoga is best when it is shared with others, not just practiced alone. My family and I host these events to bring people together, share a simple breath, and create a space where everyone feels like they belong.
