Explore yoga in a new way through my partner-based sessions, designed to build trust, improve communication, and help you achieve deeper stretches with the support of others.

This partner pose is a fun and supportive way to practice a seated forward bend and a backbend simultaneously. It encourages communication and helps both partners achieve a deeper stretch.

Practicing Navasana (Boat Pose) with a partner creates stability and shared strength. This exercise builds core strength while fostering a sense of teamwork and connection between students.

In my workshops, I guide students on how to support each other. Here, we are working on a gentle assisted stretch, which allows for a safe release of tension in the back and shoulders.

This partner stretch is excellent for opening up the chest and shoulders. By working together, students can find a greater range of motion than they might on their own, all while building trust.

About Partner Yoga: Connection & Support

Many students approach partner yoga expecting acrobatics, but my sessions focus on using each other’s weight to safely deepen foundational stretches. We use controlled, assisted movements to release tension in the shoulders and back, ensuring that every partner contact provides stability rather than strain. I guide every adjustment to ensure your alignment stays correct, making it a safe way to push your boundaries.

Why Practice Partner Yoga?

Yoga is often a solitary journey, but practicing with a partner brings a unique layer of support and feedback. In these workshops held at my Sahakar Nagar shala, we use the resistance and weight of a partner to enter poses more effectively.

Whether you are working on a seated forward bend or a gentle backbend, having a partner allows you to hold the posture longer and find a deeper release. It is not about competing or performing, but about synchronized breathing and mutual grounding.

What to Expect in My Sessions

  • Safety First: I personally oversee every interaction. We use props like straps and blocks alongside physical adjustments to ensure the practice remains restorative, not stressful.
  • Building Trust: These sessions are excellent for friends or family members who want to grow in their practice together. You learn to communicate clearly through touch and breath.
  • Technique-Focused: We break down complex movements into steps. Even in partner poses, we emphasize the traditional alignment principles of Hatha and Vinyasa flow.
  • Accessibility: You do not need to be flexible to join. I provide variations for every body type so that everyone finds the same benefit, regardless of their current ability level.

My goal is to create a space where you can let go of the ego and simply move with support. If you have been feeling stuck in your individual practice or just want to experience the joy of collective energy, these workshops are a perfect way to shift your perspective.
