Hands-On Yoga Teacher Training in Gurugram
Learn to teach with precision. Our teacher training blends traditional philosophy with modern biomechanics, focusing on safe adjustments and real-world teaching experience.
This pose, supported on blocks, is inspired by Bhishma lying on a bed of arrows. It is a powerful therapeutic asana for cardiac patients, as it opens the chest and supports the heart. This is an example of the deep, therapeutic knowledge we explore.
An asana practiced without attention is just exercise. Here, my students transition from active asana to a state of meditative awareness, integrating the physical practice with the inner journey towards stillness and peace, as described in the Yoga Sutras.
Yoga works on a much deeper level than ordinary exercise. It targets our physiological organs and psycho-neurological systems. I teach how asanas build a bridge between the physical body and the mind, leading to holistic health.
My classes are interactive and hands-on. I provide individual adjustments to help students find their center of gravity, improve alignment in poses like plank and side plank, and build core stability safely.
A glimpse into a typical class, moving from standing poses to inversions like Sirsasana (headstand). A mindful approach, with proper preparation and alignment, allows for a safe and deep practice.
The journey of yoga begins with *anushasanam*, or discipline. Through the practice of asana and pranayama, we purify the body, which in turn has a profound effect on the mind, our character, and our entire outlook on life.
In a group setting, I provide personal adjustments to ensure each student understands the correct alignment. Here, I am guiding students in standing poses like Parsvottanasana, helping them to open their shoulders and lengthen their spine.
An asana is an observatory to look within, a laboratory to experiment with your body, and an academy to study yourself. My studio is a space for this deep learning and exploration.
Focusing on alignment is not just about physical posture; it encourages mindfulness and a deeper connection to your body. Here, I guide students to feel how each movement affects them, turning the practice into a moving meditation.
A student flows through a sequence from Adho Mukha Svanasana (Downward-Facing Dog) to Vrksasana (Tree Pose). This demonstrates the grace and stability that comes from a consistent and mindful practice.
About Hands-On Teacher Training in Action
We keep our training batches small to ensure every student masters the art of adjustment. You will not just learn postures; you will study the mechanics of the body using anatomical models, understanding concepts like the tripod of the foot and spinal alignment so you can guide your future students without risk of injury.
Our Approach to Teaching
True yoga is not just stretching; it is a science of the body and mind. My teacher training course is designed to transition you from a practitioner to a guide. We look at the total system: Aahar (diet), Vihaar (lifestyle), and Vichar (thoughts).
The Curriculum
We emphasize the Iyengar style of alignment, which uses props—ropes, blocks, and chairs—as tools for intelligence rather than shortcuts. You will gain deep knowledge in:
- Anatomy & Biomechanics: We use skeleton models to break down how the body actually moves, helping you build confidence in teaching anatomy-based yoga.
- Adjustment Techniques: Practical workshops where you learn how to adjust students safely and effectively.
- Yogic Philosophy: A deep dive into the Yoga Sutras, Upanishads, and the Bhagwad Geeta, showing you how these texts apply to daily modern living.
- Pranayama & Shatkriyas: Instruction on internal cleansing techniques like Jal Neti, focusing on respiratory health and breath control.
Certification and Formats
Whether you join our intensive 200-hour offline course in Gurugram or the live online certification, you will follow a rigorous syllabus. Our certificates are recognized by the Indian Yoga Association (IYA) and Yoga Alliance.
Offline students receive full access to our studio and props, while online students are taught how to adapt home environments for safe practice without specialized equipment. Both formats include peer teaching sessions to ensure you leave ready to lead your own classes.
