Hands-On Yoga Adjustments & Peer Teaching Training
Becoming a teacher requires more than memorizing sequences. At our shala, you learn to read a body, apply precise adjustments, and find your voice through active peer-to-peer teaching.
Our Teacher Training Course is built on a foundation of direct guidance. Here, we work closely with a student on Purna Ardha Matsyendrasana, focusing on the subtle mechanics of a deep spinal twist. This hands-on approach ensures you not only learn the posture but also understand the anatomy and alignment needed to teach it safely and effectively.
A core component of our TTC is learning to teach by teaching. Here, students are guiding each other through various asanas, including a supported Sarvangasana. This collaborative method builds a deeper understanding of anatomy, communication, and the art of instruction in a supportive environment.
Learning to provide safe and effective assists is a key skill for any yoga teacher. In this clip, an instructor guides a student deeper into Vasistasana (Side Plank Pose). This personalized attention helps students understand the alignment and muscular engagement required for advanced arm balances.
We offer a hybrid learning model to accommodate our students. Here you can see an in-person adjustment for Natarajasana (Dancer's Pose) happening at the shala, while our online students participate fully via the screen. This ensures everyone receives quality instruction, regardless of their location.
Achieving a challenging pose like Trivikramasana is a milestone. This video shows the supportive process of a teacher assisting a student to explore her full range of motion safely. Our goal is to provide the guidance that empowers you to continue the journey on your own.
Our workshops and training focus on detailed alignment and adjustments. Here, a student receives guidance in Bhekasana (Frog Pose) to safely deepen the backbend and open the quadriceps. We also explore preparatory poses like Dwi Pada Viparita Dandasana against the wall to build strength and flexibility.
In our Sharirasadhana workshops, we focus on advanced asanas with meticulous attention to detail. This clip shows a teacher providing a hands-on adjustment for a student in a deep backbend, ensuring the spine is supported while encouraging greater openness in the chest and shoulders.
About this collection
We do not believe in observing from the sidelines. During this module, you are required to physically guide your peers through asanas like Purna Ardha Matsyendrasana or Vasistasana while we supervise. You learn to read a student's structural limitations and apply safe, effective adjustments, ensuring you understand the anatomy of a pose before you ever step in front of your own class.
Most teacher training programs treat philosophy and practical teaching as separate entities. Here, they are inseparable. We believe that an effective adjustment is not just about physical force; it is an act of understanding a student's structural capacity.
In our Koramangala shala, you will work extensively with props—chairs, wall ropes, and blocks—to make advanced postures accessible. When we teach adjustments, we aren't just memorizing contact points. You learn how to stabilize a backbend like Kapotasana or guide a student into Trivikramasana without compromising their safety.
You teach, you receive feedback, and you refine. This cyclical process is how you move from merely 'instructing' to actually 'teaching.'
Even for our online students, we maintain this high standard. Using Zoom, we provide real-time verbal cues and feedback, ensuring that the distance does not dilute the precision of your practice. You aren't just watching; you are participating. This is a space where we value the 'how' and 'why' above the 'what', ensuring you walk away with the competence to lead a class with clarity and confidence.

We teach from experience, not scripts. Amaresh and Charan run these sessions with a focus on technique and discipline. We prefer raw, honest practice over performative yoga.
