Sound Healing and Meditation in Khar West
Sink into deep rest with our immersive sound healing sessions. Whether you are seeking stress relief or a nervous system reset, our Khar garden offers a quiet space to breathe, recharge, and find stillness.
Our candlelight restorative yoga and sound bath is an evening of pure bliss. The soft glow and soothing sounds of Tibetan mandala instruments help activate the parasympathetic nervous system for deep rest.
What can you expect from our sound healing sessions? A soothing pause for your tired body and mind, deeper REM sleep, and an activation of your "Rest & Digest" mode.
Step into serenity with a sound bath at our garden. The soothing tones of the Handpan, played here amidst nature, gently wash away stress and guide you into profound inner peace.
What exactly is a sound bath? It's not a literal bath, but an immersive experience of healing vibrations from instruments like gongs, singing bowls, and chimes, as demonstrated here.
A sound bath balances energy and chakras. Different frequencies resonate with different parts of the body, helping to release blockages and restore energetic flow.
The gentle sounds of a sound bath calm your nervous system. They guide you into a deep state of rest, easing stress and activating your body's natural healing response.
A sound bath clears mental clutter. As your mind follows the rhythm of the sound, mental chatter softens, creating space for clarity, creativity, and insight.
It's rest. It's a reset. It's medicine. Whether you're new or experienced, sound is a beautiful way to return home to yourself, as shown by this close-up of a Tibetan bowl.
Sound baths help deepen meditation and presence. Even if you struggle to quiet your mind, the vibrations help you drop in with ease, making meditation more accessible.
Join us for a transformative Full Moon Sound Healing session. Under the radiant glow of the full moon, we use sound frequencies to release stress and rejuvenate your mind, body, and spirit.
About Sound Healing & Meditative Journeys
At Anokhi Garden, we approach sound healing as a biological reset rather than just a relaxing hour. When you lie down for a sound bath, we use Tibetan bowls, chimes, and gongs specifically tuned to activate your parasympathetic nervous system—your 'rest and digest' mode. It is a physical shift, not just a mental one, that helps release stored tension and signals your body that it is finally safe to let go.
How Our Sound Journeys Work
Many of us live in a state of high alert, constantly reacting to the demands of city life. Our sound sessions—whether a standalone sound bath, a restorative yoga combo, or a full moon gathering—are designed to interrupt that cycle.
We use instruments like Tibetan singing bowls, handpans (Ravvast), and gongs. These don't just create 'music'; they create a field of vibrational frequency. As you lie on our mats, these sound waves move through the space, helping to quiet the mental chatter that prevents deep relaxation. It is common for participants to fall into a state of 'sonic slumber,' which is often more restorative than hours of restless sleep.
What to Expect at a Session
- The Setting: Our studio in Khar West is kept dimly lit with essential oil diffusion to separate you from the noise of the street.
- The Experience: You do not need to 'do' anything. You simply lie down, listen, and breathe. If you are joining one of our Full Moon or themed workshops, we often layer in journaling prompts or guided meditation to help you process what you are feeling.
- No Experience Necessary: You do not need to be a meditator or a yoga practitioner. Sound healing is accessible to anyone who can lie down and listen. Whether you are dealing with chronic stress or just need a quiet evening, you are welcome here.
Practical Details
Sessions usually last 90 minutes. We provide premium Kosha Yoga props, including mats, bolsters, and blankets. We recommend wearing comfortable clothes that allow you to lie flat without restriction. After every session, we serve herbal tea in our garden, giving you a chance to ground yourself before heading back into the city.
