Ancient techniques to reset your system. We guide you through safe, supervised cleansing methods to help your body heal from the inside out.

This video provides a step-by-step guide to practicing Kapalbhati, a powerful Shuddhi Kriya or cleansing breath. I explain the technique of forceful exhalation to clear the sinuses, reduce phlegm, and energize the entire system.

I demonstrate the process of Vaman Dhauti, or Kunjal Kriya, a yogic technique for cleansing the stomach. This practice involves drinking lukewarm saline water and is highly effective for removing toxins and improving digestion, but must be learned from an expert.

In this video, I explain Netra Dhauti, the yogic practice of eye cleansing using Triphala water. This ancient remedy is excellent for soothing tired eyes, improving vision, and relieving strain caused by excessive screen time.

About Traditional Yogic Detox Practices

These traditional cleansing practices are powerful, but they are not DIY experiments you should attempt alone. When I guide you through techniques like Shankha Prakshalana or Vaman Dhauti, I personally monitor your preparation, the execution, and your recovery, ensuring the process is safe and tailored to your specific physiological needs rather than following a generic protocol.

In the world of yoga, we refer to these as Shatkriyas—six classical cleansing techniques designed to flush out accumulated toxins from the body. Whether you are dealing with chronic digestive issues, excessive screen fatigue, or a general feeling of heaviness, these methods offer a deep reset that asanas alone cannot provide.

Why Supervision Matters

Detoxification is a physiological event. Techniques like Vaman Dhauti (stomach cleansing) require specific saline concentrations, the right posture, and post-session recovery (like a specific diet plan) to avoid electrolyte imbalance. My approach at Aarambh Yoga Institute is centered on safety. I or my senior acharyas supervise every session to ensure that you are physically ready for the kriya and that your body recovers correctly afterward. We do not believe in 'quick fixes'—we believe in cleansing with awareness.

The Kriyas We Practice

  • Vaman Dhauti (Kunjal Kriya): Excellent for removing excess mucus and cleansing the stomach lining. It is often the first step for those dealing with persistent acidity or heavy digestion.
  • Netra Dhauti: In our screen-dominated lives, eye strain is inevitable. This practice uses Triphala water to soothe and cleanse the eyes, which many students find brings immediate relief to tired vision.
  • Kapalbhati: Beyond the breathwork, this is a cleansing technique for the respiratory system and brain, improving focus and removing carbon dioxide buildup.

The Detox Journey

Before you start, we evaluate your current health status and medical history. A detox is not just about the kriya itself; it is about the 24 hours of preparation and the gentle recovery meal afterwards. If you are looking to clear internal blockages and start your wellness journey with a clean slate, let's connect and discuss which method is appropriate for your body.
