About My Yoga Journey & Qualifications
My 500-hour certification is more than just a certificate. It represents hundreds of hours studying anatomy, alignment, and yoga philosophy, which I apply directly to every class to ensure your practice at Krida Sports Academy is safe, sustainable, and truly therapeutic.
My path as a teacher began long before I opened The Mantra Yoga Studio. With 500 hours of intensive training from institutions like The Yoga Institute and Samyak, my focus has always been on deep, structural understanding. It taught me how to look past the surface, beyond the poses, to understand how breath, movement, and philosophy work together.
Why My Certification Matters for You
Whether you are joining my group classes in Andheri or a 1-on-1 session at home, this training is the foundation of every session. It is why I prioritize alignment modifications for every body type. If you are struggling with back pain, joint stiffness, or just want to build a sustainable daily practice, we use that knowledge to adapt every asana.
My Philosophy
I often tell my students: "Yoogaa karanyaasaathi tumcha vay kaay, vajan kiti, he paahanya peksha tumhi karnar ka, he vichar kara." (Don't worry about age or weight, ask yourself if you are willing to try.) This is the core of my teaching. It is not about looking a certain way on the mat, but about finding a space where you can breathe, heal, and grow.
We don't chase the perfect pose. Instead, we use props like blocks and chairs, and techniques from Hatha and Iyengar yoga, to make sure the practice meets you exactly where you are today. If you are looking for a supportive space to learn pranayama or simply want to integrate movement into a busy city lifestyle, I am here to guide you.
