My Yoga Philosophy and Class Highlights
Yoga is not about the perfect pose. It is about finding your balance, peace, and strength—no matter your age, weight, or experience level.
My focus is always on helping you find your potential safely. Here, I'm providing hands-on support for a student in Urdhva Dhanurasana, or Wheel Pose, ensuring correct alignment to deepen the backbend without strain. This is a core part of my teaching philosophy.
The joy of practicing together is unmatched. In my group classes, we often use partner work to build trust, support, and balance, proving that yoga has no age limit. It's all about finding energy and breathing together.
My personal practice is my foundation. This clip shows a sequence moving into Sirsasana, or a supported headstand, which is a powerful inversion for building core strength and focus. I use insights from my own practice to guide my students.
Taking our practice to the beach brings a new level of peace and connection. This video shows one of my outdoor sessions, where we combine asanas and pranayama with the calming sounds of the ocean for a truly refreshing experience.
Props are our best friends in yoga. This video demonstrates how I use a chair to help a student safely explore a deeper headstand variation, making advanced postures more accessible and building confidence step by step.
I am proud to be a 500-hour qualified yoga teacher. My training is ongoing because I believe in providing the most knowledgeable and safe guidance in every class, from yoga philosophy to detailed asana alignment.
Yoga can also be playful and connective. This is a glimpse into an acro-yoga practice, which is a beautiful way to build trust, communication, and strength with a partner. It’s a different kind of moving meditation.
About Featured
These highlights show my approach to teaching yoga at Krida Sports Academy and during private sessions. My goal is to make sure you feel supported, whether we are using props to improve your alignment or just working on your breath to relieve daily stress. If you are worried about being flexible enough to start, this is the kind of space where those worries fade away.
My Teaching Philosophy
I always tell my students: Yoogaa karanyaasaathi tumcha vay kaay, vajan kiti, he paahanya peksha tumhi karnar ka, he vichar kara (Don’t worry about your age or weight; just ask yourself if you are willing to give it a try). My classes are designed for real people living real lives in Mumbai.
How I Conduct My Classes
My approach is rooted in safe, sustainable practice. I blend Hatha foundations with Iyengar-inspired alignment techniques. If you are looking for a place to simply 'stretch,' you will find much more here. I focus on:
- Safe Alignment: Using props like chairs, blocks, and straps to make sure every pose is accessible to you, even if you have stiff joints or back pain.
- Mind-Body Connection: It is not just about the asanas. We integrate pranayama and meditation to ensure you leave the mat feeling calmer than when you arrived.
- Supportive Community: In my group batches at Krida Sports Academy in Andheri, we keep numbers small. This allows me to provide hands-on tactile adjustments and personalized attention.
Who This Is For
I teach beginners, intermediates, and anyone needing a bit of balance. Whether you are dealing with desk-job aches, seeking weight management, or just need a safe space to breathe, you are welcome. I treat every session as a fresh start for both of us.
