200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training Course in Vile Parle West
A teacher training program focused on the Guru-Shishya tradition. Learn to teach with depth, focusing on alignment, breathwork, and personal transformation.
I am explaining why Padmasana, or the lotus pose, is superior to Sukhasana for meditation. The alignment in Padmasana ensures your spine remains erect, allowing prana, or life force energy, to flow upwards freely. When you hunch, this energy flow gets blocked, which is why understanding the correct posture is fundamental to a powerful meditative practice.
As a teacher, it is my duty to constantly guide your breath. I teach you to sync every movement with your breath, exhaling on a forward bend and inhaling on a backbend. This conscious breathwork is more important than the physical movement itself and is a core principle I instill in all my teacher trainees.
Here you can see one of my teacher training graduates leading a class during her internship. My course is designed not just to give you knowledge, but to build the confidence to apply it. This practical experience is where true learning happens.
This is the complete overview of my upcoming 200-Hour Yoga Alliance certified Teacher Training Course. It includes the schedule, location, and batch start date, along with a special offer for a one-month free internship to put your new skills into practice.
Correct alignment is non-negotiable. Here, I am instructing a student on the proper form for Paschimottanasana, emphasizing that a straight spine is more important than touching the floor. My focus is on moving forward from the hips, not just bending down, to protect the back and get the true benefit of the asana.
A student demonstrates Vrikshasana, or tree pose, using a block for stability and alignment. This image embodies the core values of my teaching: Parampara (Tradition), Pratishtha (Respect), and Anushasan (Discipline). These principles are the foundation of a true yoga practice.
This shows the dedication of my students during their post-course internship. While one student receives hands-on guidance to perfect her teaching of an asana, another is seen studying the theoretical materials. This combination of practice and study is what creates a well-rounded and knowledgeable yoga teacher.
About Featured
Most certification courses give you a manual, a certificate, and then leave you on your own to figure out how to handle a real class. Here, the theory is just half the work. We include a mandatory one-month internship at our studio in Vile Parle West. You will not just be watching; you will be assisting with corrections, managing students, and finding your own voice as an instructor before you ever step out as a professional.
More Than Just a Certificate
Getting certified is easy, but becoming a teacher who understands the human body and mind is a commitment. My 200-Hour YTTC is built on the Guru-Shishya Parampara, meaning you receive personal guidance. We focus on the 'why' behind every movement. Whether it is a forward bend or a complex inversion, if you do not understand the breath or the alignment, the pose is incomplete.
What You Will Master
This course is dual-certified by Yoga Alliance International and the World Yoga Federation. Over three months, we dive into:
- Physical Practice: Intensive sessions covering Hatha, Vinyasa, and Iyengar-style alignment using props.
- The Science of Breath: Mastering Pranayama to control Prana, or life force energy, which is the foundation of all meditation.
- Theory & Anatomy: Understanding the mechanics of the body to prevent injury and teach safely.
- The Art of Teaching: Voice modulation, sequence building, and how to read a student's body language.
The Logistics
The training runs Monday to Friday, from 12:30 PM to 3:30 PM. We keep batch sizes small (6 to 10 students) to ensure every trainee gets individual correction. We provide all essential materials, including the training manual and in-studio props.
If you are ready to stop just performing asanas and start guiding others through their own practice, this is where you start. Discipline, devotion, and a willingness to learn are all I ask of you.
