Practicing under the open sky changes your rhythm. Rather than following a sequence within four walls, you’re syncing your breath with the breeze or the ocean tide, which helps you drop into meditation much faster. These sessions are perfect if you want to break out of your usual routine and feel genuinely connected to the space around you.
When I move my classes outside, the focus shifts. We aren't just working on alignment using blocks and chairs; we are engaging with the environment. Whether we are practicing near the coast or in a quiet park in Andheri, the goal is to use the natural surroundings to deepen your pranayama and mindfulness practice.
Expect a mix of Hatha and Vinyasa flow, adapted for open spaces. We keep the sequences intuitive and accessible, even if you are just starting out. You don't need to be a pro to join—if you can breathe, you can do this. I bring the same hands-on approach I use in my indoor classes, ensuring your posture stays safe even without the structured support of a studio wall.
These sessions are fantastic if you feel stuck or stressed. The fresh air and natural sounds act as a reset button for your nervous system. I always recommend bringing your own mat and a bottle of water, and wearing something you can move in easily. We usually wrap up with a guided meditation, using the sunset or the quiet morning to help you transition back to your day feeling a bit lighter.
