Kids Yoga Classes in Mayur Vihar
I help children build focus, strength, and confidence through mindful movement. In my studio, yoga is not about perfect poses; it is about finding their own rhythm and light.
The journey into a pose is as important as the pose itself. Here, I am guiding a young student through the steps of a standing Chakrasana, or Wheel Pose. My focus is always on ensuring safe alignment and building trust, helping her push her limits gently and confidently. This practice is excellent for developing back flexibility and opening the heart center.
In my classes, we build strength in ways that feel like play. This video shows one of my students practicing a sequence that includes push-ups, a supported handstand, and backbends. I provide hands-on support to ensure she develops body awareness and proper form, which builds her confidence along with her physical power.
Yoga is a practice for everyone, and I love seeing families and children come together to share this experience. This image is from a large outdoor community session, with my youngest students right at the front, fully engaged in the practice. It shows that the path to wellness can be a shared, joyful journey.
Even my youngest students learn the power of stillness and breath. It is not always perfect, and that is okay. Here, a young boy begins with a yawn and then settles into practice, and I provide gentle assistance to help him with a simple backbend. My goal is to make yoga accessible and enjoyable for every child, regardless of age or energy level.
As the shloka says, we have a right to our actions, but not to the fruits of our actions. We focus on the effort. With consistent practice and careful guidance, children can achieve incredible things. I am assisting a student with the Tandavasana, a standing split that requires immense balance and flexibility. My hands-on approach helps her find stability and deepen the stretch safely.

My approach to kids yoga is strictly hands-on, ensuring every stretch is safe and supportive. In my studio, we do not chase perfect alignment or rigid postures. If your child is just starting, it is perfectly fine if they need a break, feel energetic, or even yawn mid-session. My sessions go beyond basic stretching. We integrate:
- Mindful Movement: We use playful poses—like animal movements—to improve balance, core strength, and flexibility.
- Breathwork (Pranayama): Even the youngest students learn the power of stillness and deep breathing. This helps improve their attention span and emotional balance.
- Creative Integration: I often blend yoga with art and craft workshops during our summer camps and regular sessions, allowing children to express themselves freely.
- Hands-on Guidance: I provide tactile, safe adjustments for postures like the Wheel Pose (Chakrasana) or standing splits (Tandavasana). My goal is not perfection, but safety and body awareness.
