Yoga for Mental Calm and Focus in Mayur Vihar
Yoga is more than just stretching; it is the journey to meet yourself. Join me for sessions that focus on pranayama and meditation to help you de-stress, build focus, and find inner peace.
This moment captures a large group practicing pranayama, or yogic breathing, together in an outdoor setting. Teaching children and adults to connect with their breath is a fundamental part of my teaching, as it is the bridge between the body and the mind.
The simple act of chanting Om can create powerful positive vibrations and bring the mind to a state of calm. This video shows students of all ages engaged in a meditative chant during one of my studio sessions. It is a practice that helps improve concentration and fosters a peaceful group environment.
Meditation is a skill that serves you for life. Here you can see the focused and peaceful faces of my students, from teenagers to adults, as they sit in meditation. I guide them through practices that help quiet the mental chatter and connect with their inner selves.
About Calm Minds, Happy Hearts
In these sessions, we focus on detoxifying the mind as much as the body. Rather than rushing into intense physical routines, we begin with breathwork and guided meditation to stabilize the nervous system. Whether you are dealing with daily stress or your child needs help with focus, we use simple, sustainable techniques that you can practice anywhere, not just on the mat.
Yoga often gets reduced to physical gymnastics, but true wellness begins within. My approach to these classes is rooted in the philosophy of Atma Deepo Bhava—finding the light within yourself.
The Practice of Stillness
We start with Pranayama—the practice of giving a new dimension to your life force. For many of my students at the Absolute Fit studio in Mayur Vihar Phase III, this is the first time they truly unplug their minds. We move past the 'how many reps' mentality and focus on the quality of your breath and the clarity of your thought.
Why This Approach Matters
Modern life is full of distractions. By incorporating simple chanting and mindfulness into our movement, we help the brain enter a state of calm. This is vital for everyone—from teenagers managing academic pressure to adults juggling work.
What to Expect
