Functional Fitness Group Classes in Model Town
Fitness is more powerful when shared. Whether you're training for a Hyrox event or just building strength alongside like-minded women, my group sessions focus on real, functional progress.
At 43, I celebrated my birthday by competing in Hyrox. This wasn't about winning, but about daring to dream and proving what's possible with consistent training and a supportive team. This is what I want for you: to find a goal that excites you and to feel the power of your own competence.
This was an incredible moment, performing an aerial yoga routine on stage with a group of amazing women, all of them over 40. It shows that with dedication and community support, it's possible to learn new skills and achieve things that once felt impossible. We are stronger together.
Here is a glimpse into one of our group sessions, focusing on core strength using sliders and yoga blocks. Working out together creates an energy that's hard to replicate on your own. We push each other, stay synchronized, and build resilience as a team.
No excuses, just goals. This barefoot session with squats, jumps, and battle ropes was part of my preparation for the Mrs. Universe pageant. It's about building raw, functional strength and believing in your ability to rise to any challenge you set for yourself.
About Functional Fitness & Community
When you join these group sessions, you aren't just following a generic fitness chart. We work with barbells, sleds, and battle ropes to build actual functional strength. My approach is simple: we prioritize perfect form over heavy weight because I want you moving well for the next forty years, not just for next month.
Functional fitness is about preparing your body for the demands of real life. In my studio in Model Town, we move away from the obsession with 'size zero' and instead focus on what your body can actually do.
Why Functional Training Matters
At 43, I realized that true fitness isn't about vanity; it's about mobility and strength. We utilize Hyrox-style drills, kettlebells, and bodyweight exercises to ensure you are capable, whether that means keeping up with your kids or preparing for a competitive fitness event.
The Power of Community
Training alone can be lonely and demotivating. That is why I created these small-group sessions. When you train with a group of women who are all in their 30s and 40s, the energy changes. You see others pushing through their own limitations—whether it's overcoming an injury, managing PCOS, or just fighting off a bad day—and it inspires you to push a little harder. We hold each other accountable, celebrate small wins, and share the journey.
What to Expect
Safety is the foundation of our classes. Every session is capped at 8 to 10 participants so that I can provide direct feedback on your movement. We focus on:
- Corrective exercises: To fix posture and imbalances.
- Compound movements: To boost metabolic health.
- Sustainability: No crash diets, just long-term habits.
Whether you are a beginner or looking to sharpen your athleticism, this space is built for women who want to stop making excuses and start building a body that lasts. Come by the studio in Model Town and see what happens when you commit to yourself.
