About Aerial Fitness

Why I Do This

Aerial fitness for me is all about finding your own strength and a bit of sukoon (peace). I’m never chasing perfection or the “ideal body”. I started out with shivering arms and a stubborn mind. Kabhi kabhi lagta hai, bas ho gaya (Sometimes I feel like giving up), but it’s about sticking with it. It’s my way to feel strong andar se (inside), not just outside.

What You’ll Experience

Aerial fitness mixes yoga, dance, and a splash of acrobatics, all with fabric hanging from the ceiling. We do two main things:

  • Aerial yoga hammock classes: Using looped fabric to help you stretch deeper, flip upside down, and flow through moves that feel like flying.
  • Aerial silks for beginners: Two lengths of fabric where you climb, wrap, and learn drops. No crazy strength needed at first - we build that together.

Who Can Join?

Honestly, if you’ve got the will to show up, you belong here. Doesn’t matter if you’re not flexible, young, or super fit. I’ve taught women in their 40s, kids, anyone who’s got curiosity. Sabko ek din shuru karna padta hai (Everyone has to start one day) - I did too.

What Happens in Class?

  • We work on anti-gravity workout moves that build core and upper body
  • You’ll learn flowing, dance-like movements in the air
  • Poses like splits and backbends get easier with fabric support
  • We talk about fear, confidence, and finding joy in movement

My Story

I’m a wife, mom, and at 42 I stopped counting inches and started counting what matters - motivation, mobility, sanity. Mrs. India? Random! Saw an ad, asked Vibhu, 'hit karein kya?' (should I try?), he said 'pagal ho gayi hai?' (gone mad?), but I did it and got in. Fitness isn’t about being thin, it’s about being strong. Aerial is my feeling, mat is my teacher. Injuries came, giving up never did. Thankful for my gurus, family, and every lesson.
