Yoga for Every Body: Community Classes in Paschim Vihar
Age, fitness level, or background don’t matter here. Whether you are a complete beginner or looking to refine your practice, our community proves that yoga truly is for every body.
This student's journey has not been easy, but her consistency is truly inspiring. She is now strong enough to do difficult postures that even younger people find hard, and she manages her household with renewed energy.
Exercise is beneficial at any age, and it's especially important for the elderly. This video shows simple balancing and strengthening exercises that help improve coordination, reduce the risk of injury, and maintain mobility.
If you have older parents at home, you can help them practice Surya Namaskar on a chair. Just a few rounds of these modified sun salutations can provide all the benefits of the traditional practice, improving their health and energy.
Stop blaming life's circumstances for not starting your fitness journey. The real reason is often a lack of dedication to your own health. You can only give what you have, so fill yourself with strength and confidence first.
Have you ever tried Hanuman Dand? This traditional Indian exercise is a powerful way to build strength and ensure you never have back problems. Just ten repetitions a day can make a huge difference to your spinal health.
The practice of yoga is sacred, and it requires you to trust the process. Motivation must come from within you. Don't let the winter stop you; find your inner fire and keep practicing.
I don't move my body to fit into a dress. I move my body because it makes me feel great, because movement is medicine. Whether it's arm balances, kettlebells, or aerial yoga, I practice to feel strong and alive.
About Yoga is for Every Body: Our Community
What I love most about our batches in Paschim Vihar is the mix. You will see a 60-year-old mastering balancing poses right next to a beginner finding their rhythm. We use props like wheels, ropes, and blocks to bridge that gap, ensuring that everyone gets a safe, effective workout regardless of their starting point.
Yoga isn't about being perfectly flexible on day one. It is about showing up and doing the work, consistently. In my studio, we don't care if you can touch your toes or if you've never stepped on a mat before.
Why Our Community Works
My approach is to make yoga accessible through alignment and support.
- Props as Teachers: We use yoga wheels, wall ropes, and blocks not as crutches, but as tools to help you find the correct alignment. This is vital for seniors or anyone dealing with chronic stiffness who wants to move safely.
- Real Progress, No Shortcuts: I often tell my students, 'Sirf do-teen asana se kuch nahi hoga' (Just a couple of poses won't change everything). Real change happens when you combine breathwork, asana, and consistency.
Who This Is For
Whether you are a busy professional looking to fix back pain, a senior citizen wanting to maintain mobility, or someone simply looking to de-stress, you belong here. We keep our batches small, with only 8-12 people. This ensures that every student gets individual attention, so you are never just a face in the crowd. If you are ready to stop making excuses and start investing in your health, come join us on the mat.
Yogiks Yoga
I’m Madhulika, and I traded my CA career for a yoga mat eight years ago because I wanted to share the 'sukun' (peace) yoga gave me. My studio here in Paschim Vihar isn't about perfectly posed photos; it’s about a real family helping each other get stronger, one session at a time.
Finding the right class
Let us help you find the specific yoga style or session that fits your needs.
