About Advanced Asana Lab
Advanced asanas are not about brute force. It is about understanding your center of gravity and using props to bridge the gap between where you are and where you want to be. I do not just teach you how to pose, I teach you how to fall safely, how to use the wall for support, and how to engage the right muscles so you do not hurt your neck or shoulders while attempting inversions.
Many people believe advanced yoga means just getting into a pose and holding it. Real progress comes from understanding the mechanics. Whether you are struggling to find balance in a handstand or need help lifting up for Bakasana (Crane Pose), my approach is structured and prop-heavy.
We start by identifying the weak links in your chain. Is it core strength, shoulder mobility, or just fear? We use:
- Wall ropes for traction and stability in inversions.
- Blocks to bring the floor closer and improve alignment.
- Yoga wheels to strengthen the back and core for deeper balances.
These sessions are not for everyone. You need a baseline of discipline and the patience to hold poses while we work on alignment. I keep batch sizes small, usually 8 to 12 people, because I need to be right there to correct your posture. If you are rushing to master a move just for a picture, this is not the place for you.
