Kids Yoga and Fitness Games in Paschim Vihar
Let’s swap screen time for playtime. My sessions in Paschim Vihar mix yoga basics with games like tic-tac-toe to keep kids moving, focused, and genuinely happy.
Who says fitness can't be a game? Here we are playing a life-sized version of tic-tac-toe using yoga blocks. This activity is great for encouraging strategic thinking, agility, and a bit of healthy competition.
A look at our group warm-up activities. We incorporate dynamic movements like animal walks and partner exercises to build strength and get the energy flowing before we move into more focused yoga or aerial work.
Want to be as agile as an animal? You have to walk like one. I teach fun animal walks like the bear walk for overall strength, duck walk for ankle joints, and frog walk for wrist strength. It's a fantastic full-body warm-up for kids.
About this collection
I don't just teach poses. We build functional strength through movement that feels like play. In these sessions, we use animal walks like bear and crab crawls to build joint stability and coordination, and even play life-sized tic-tac-toe using yoga blocks to sharpen strategic thinking while staying active.
Physical fitness for children often feels like a chore, but it shouldn't. When kids are engaged, they naturally push their limits. My approach at the studio in Paschim Vihar combines traditional asanas with dynamic play. This isn't just running around; it is structured activity.
Why movement matters
Most kids today struggle with 'study hunchback' from long hours at desks and screens. We target this directly with animal walks. The bear walk builds core and shoulder strength, the duck walk opens up ankle joints, and the crab walk is excellent for overall body coordination. These aren't just games; they are functional exercises disguised as fun.
Beyond the games
While the play keeps them motivated, we integrate discipline and mindfulness into every session.
- Postural Correction: We use specific stretches to counter the strain of school bags.
- Focus & Calm: We end sessions with Om chanting or simple breathwork. This helps shift their energy from high-intensity play to a focused, calm state before they head home.
- Building Confidence: Whether it is trying a new balancing pose or winning a round of our block-based tic-tac-toe, every small success builds their self-belief.
We keep groups small so every child gets attention. If you want your child to build healthy habits that stick without feeling like they are back in school, this is where you start.
Yogiks Yoga
Namaste, I’m Madhulika. I left a corporate career to help kids in Paschim Vihar trade their screens for strong, agile bodies through yoga that is actually fun. We keep it real here: no boring drills, just movement that makes them want to show up.
