About Build Strength & Stamina

If you think yoga is only about touching your toes, these flows will change your mind. I combine traditional Indian movements like Dands (bodyweight push-ups) with specific core-conditioning sequences to build genuine stamina. Expect your heart rate to climb and your muscles to shake—all while we focus on the precise alignment that keeps your joints safe and strong. This isn't about looking perfect on the mat; it's about building the internal power to handle life outside of it.

Building Strength Beyond Stretching

Many people land on their first yoga mat looking for flexibility, but they stay because they realize how much strength it actually takes to hold a pose. In this cluster, I focus on 'functional strength'—the kind you can actually use. Whether you are aiming for your first proper push-up or just want to stop feeling winded after walking up a flight of stairs, these sequences are designed to get you there.

Why Traditional Dands?

You will see me demonstrate various types of Dands in these videos. These are not just standard push-ups. They are ancient, rhythmic, breath-led movements that engage your entire upper body while opening up your hips and hamstrings. Unlike gym-based weight training that can feel isolated, Dands teach your body to move as one unit.

  • Hanuman Danda: Incredible for hip mobility and upper body power.
  • Vrishchik Danda: Builds serious shoulder stability and core control.
  • Danda Bhujanga: A perfect flow to engage the spine and glutes.

Online Classes: No Fancy Gear Required

I structure my online yoga classes to be sustainable. We use what you have—a mat, maybe a pillow or a chair. My batches are interactive because I need to see you to keep you safe. If your form is off, I will tell you. If you are rushing through your Surya Namaskara, I will ask you to slow down.

My curriculum is progressive. We start with foundational stability, move through core conditioning (yes, the ab workouts are tough, but you will thank me), and eventually layer in the more advanced skill work. If you have chronic back pain from desk work or just want to feel like an athlete again, my classes are the right place to start.

I’m Apoorva, and I don't do 'fluff' yoga. Whether you are working on your first push-up or trying to hold Crow Pose, I’m the teacher who will call you out if your alignment is off—and tell a joke right after. My classes are about feeling strong, capable, and maybe a little sweaty.
