Strengthening your body is not about harsh gym workouts; it is about 'sabr' (patience) and steady, consistent progress. I design flows that help you tone up and find stability, no matter your current fitness level.

Looking to build upper body strength? Here are three types of yoga based push-ups you can try, including the challenging Dolphin push-up, which strengthens the shoulders, arms, and core.

Sometimes the mind says "I'm done," but the heart says "You got this." This is a reminder that you are stronger than you think. Pushing through the resistance to build physical and mental resilience.

Let's flip the script on why we exercise. It's not about being skinny, it's about being fit, strong, and healthy. It's about feeling good in your body and celebrating what it can do.

Here are five asanas that are excellent for toning your arms. This sequence includes poses like Warrior II, Plank, and Single Leg Downward Dog to build strength in your shoulders, biceps, and triceps.

Practicing heart openers, or backbends, does more than just improve flexibility. This sequence, featuring poses like Bhujangasana (Cobra) and Chakrasana (Wheel), also builds significant strength in the back, shoulders, and legs.

If your goal is to achieve Chakrasana (Wheel Pose), this video is for you. I demonstrate three preparatory poses, including Lizard Pose, to help open the shoulders and build the back strength needed for this deep backbend.

About Building Strength from Within

You will not find cookie-cutter routines here. Whether you are aiming for your first proper push-up or trying to safely master a deep backbend like Chakrasana, I modify every sequence to fit your current body and energy. We start where you are, using simple props and techniques, so you feel strong and confident after every single session.

Building strength in yoga is different. It is not about how many reps you can do, but how well you connect with your breath while challenging your muscles. My approach to functional strength focuses on steady, sustainable growth. We work on your core stability, arm strength, and back health using a blend of Hatha and Ashtanga Vinyasa movements that are adapted for your specific needs.

Why Build Strength This Way?

  • Safe Progression: We use props like blocks and straps to make challenging poses accessible, ensuring you build strength without the risk of injury.
  • Mind-Body Connection: It is not just about muscle; it is about 'Yoga se sab Hoga' (Everything is possible with yoga). You learn to push through mental resistance just as much as physical fatigue.
  • Customized for You: Whether you have a desk job, are recovering from an injury, or want to level up your advanced asana practice, we create a path that is uniquely yours.

What We Work On

  • Core Stability: Moving beyond crunches to build a stable center that supports you in daily life.
  • Arm & Shoulder Power: Using variations like Dolphin push-ups to tone your upper body safely.
  • Back & Heart Openers: Building a resilient back through poses like Cobra and Wheel, which also help regulate your emotional quotient.

We go slow and steady. You do not need a 'perfect' yoga body to start. You just need the willingness to show up for yourself. My goal is for you to feel powerful, grounded, and genuinely better in your body after every single practice.

I started this journey feeling nervous and clueless, but yoga taught me that true strength is just about showing up for yourself. My classes are a safe space where we ditch the 'perfect' yoga body image and focus on how you feel. I am here to guide you, breathe with you, and help you find that inner fire.
