About Beginner's Corner: Your First Step on the Mat

You do not need to touch your toes to start yoga. In my sessions, we use household items like chairs and pillows to support your alignment, so you build strength safely from day one without straining your back or hips.

If you think yoga is just about flexibility, let me stop you right there. It is about moving with awareness. Many beginners feel intimidated by 'Insta-poses', but here, we slow down. I focus on safe Hatha alignment so you understand exactly where your hands and feet should be. Whether you are dealing with a stiff spine from a desk job or just want to start moving, we use props to bridge the gap between where you are and where you want to be. We cover everything from basic standing poses like Virabhadrasana to gentle seated flows. You will also learn the breathing patterns that actually calm your mind instead of just holding your breath until the pose ends. Classes are held over Zoom or Google Meet with a video-on policy, which means I can provide real-time corrections. Think of it as having a teacher in the room with you, watching your form to ensure you stay injury-free. Aiyo, and please do not skip the Shavasana—that is the most important part of the class!
