Yoga is often a solo journey, but adding a partner changes the energy. In these sessions, we focus on communication, physical support, and building trust while creating shared shapes.

About this collection

Acro yoga isn't just about the impressive photos; it is the most honest way to check your alignment. When you work with a partner, you cannot cheat or compensate for weak form. If your core is not engaged or your base is unstable, you will feel it immediately through the connection. It turns a standard strength exercise into a real-time, non-verbal conversation about balance and gravity.

Many people hesitate to try Acro Yoga because they assume you need to be an athlete to start. My goal is to break that myth. We treat these sessions as a collaborative game rather than a performance.

Why Partner Yoga?

  • Immediate Feedback: You get real-time input on your posture. If you are rounding your back or losing focus, the connection to your partner tells you instantly.
  • Building Trust: There is a unique vulnerability in holding someone else's weight or being held. It requires you to be fully present.
  • Core Engagement: You will engage muscles in your core and stability centers that you often ignore during solo practice.

What to Expect

We practice in a safe, controlled environment at my Sanpada studio. We always start with the basics—learning how to be a stable 'base' and a confident 'flyer.' We use props and mats, and we move step-by-step. You do not need to bring a partner with you; you will find plenty of supportive practice buddies in the class.

Whether you are looking to improve your flexibility, build functional strength, or just shake up your routine with something playful, this is a space where we focus on progress, not perfection. Aum Namah Shivaya.

I’m Sushmita. I wasn't always strong; I had to earn it through years of daily practice and moving past my own limits. Now, I love bringing that same discipline into our partner sessions where we stop taking life so seriously and just start trusting each other’s weight.
