Bagwork is where you build the power that carries into the ring. From the classic 1-2 to complex movement drills, this is where we turn repetition into instinct.

This is me vs. me. Bagwork is a form of therapy, a place to channel aggression and perfect my craft. Every punch is thrown with intention, focusing on power, speed, and form.

This bagwork drill demonstrates a right punch and hook combination. Working on the bag allows a boxer to practice fluid transitions between different types of punches.

Here, a student practices the classic 1-2-1-2 combo on the heavy bag. This drill is excellent for building stamina and making the jab-cross sequence an instinctive reaction.

A hook followed by a right punch is a powerful combination. This bagwork drill helps develop the rotational power needed to make these punches effective.

This is a complex bagwork combo: jab, miss, jab, right cross, and a double uppercut. Drills like this on the bag build a fighter's ability to think and adapt while throwing punches.

This video shows a long and technical bagwork combination, including jabs, crosses, a back-step, and double uppercuts. This is how we build both physical and mental endurance.

A perfect storm of punches on the bag: left, right, back-step, left, right, hook, and uppercut. This drill combines movement, defense, and a full range of offensive strikes.

This bagwork combo includes a left jab, a back-step, another left, an uppercut, and a hook. It's a great drill for practicing footwork and creating angles while attacking.

This drill focuses on a double left jab, right cross, left hook, and uppercut. Working the heavy bag with high-volume combos is key for building punching endurance.

Here, a student practices a jab, cross, uppercut, and left-right finish on the bag. This kind of drill helps cement complex combinations into muscle memory.

About Power & Precision: Bagwork Combos

Every session here follows a specific structure, because we don't just swing at bags. You will learn to manage your distance, transition from your jab to your power hand, and rotate your core to put real weight behind every hook. It is 90 minutes of high-intensity work designed to build the muscle memory required for actual sparring, not just fitness.

The heavy bag is the great equalizer. It does not punch back, but it shows you exactly where your technique breaks down. In our Nagpada gym, we use heavy bags and wrecking balls to condition your knuckles and sharpen your aim.

The Mechanics

It starts with your stance. If your balance is off, your power leaks before it reaches your fist. We break down the classic 1-2 sequence, then build up to the double-uppercut and hook combinations you see in our sessions.

Conditioning

Bag work is not just about offense. We incorporate back-stepping and lateral movement to ensure you are not a stationary target. You learn to strike and immediately reset.

What to Expect

This is not a cardio-kickboxing class. We are a boxing academy. Whether you are aiming for amateur bouts or just sharpening your fight IQ, we enforce strict form. If your wrist is floppy or your shoulder is not engaged, we correct it. Expect to work hard, sweat through your kit, and leave knowing your combos are faster and heavier than they were yesterday.
