Pranayama Workshops for Inner Cleansing
Yoga is more than just asanas. In our studio, we use traditional breathwork like Kapalbhati to energize your body and calm the nervous system, helping you clean your system from the inside out.
A look inside my pranayama session where we practice Kapalbhati, a fundamental Shatkriya technique. This powerful breathwork helps detoxify the body by clearing the respiratory passages and invigorating the mind, making you feel refreshed and focused.
About Pranayama for Inner Cleansing
Breathwork is the real cleanup crew for your nervous system. In my sessions, we don’t just sit and breathe; we use Kapalbhati to push out stagnancy and Bhramari to settle that constant mental chatter. It is a bit intense at first if you have never done forceful breathwork, but that is why I guide you through the pacing—so you feel the release without getting dizzy.
Most people think yoga ends at stretching, but the deeper work happens when we clear the internal pathways. My pranayama workshops are designed to flush out the mental and physical toxins we accumulate from daily stress and screen time.
Why focus on cleansing?
When the mind feels heavy or foggy, it is often because our energy channels are blocked. Through Shatkriya techniques, we address this directly:
- Kapalbhati: This forceful breathwork acts like a vacuum, clearing your respiratory passages and waking up your entire system. It is excellent for mental clarity.
- Bhramari: We use this humming technique to vibrate the nerves and quiet the brain, which helps when you are feeling overwhelmed or anxious.
What to expect in a session
I keep the environment grounded. We practice together in a community hall setting in Yamuna Vihar, so you are never doing this alone. If you are new to this, do not worry. I start with simple, safe techniques.
We prioritize safety over speed. For example, when teaching Jal Neti or Kapalbhati, I personally check on everyone to ensure the posture is right and the breath is controlled. It is not about perfect form; it is about feeling that internal 'badhiya' (great) sensation after the practice.
Whether you are dealing with sinus issues or just need a mental reset, these workshops provide a safe space to breathe, release, and recharge.
