About Our Cozy Corner & Happy Guests
When you visit, don't expect a buffet where food sits for hours. Every dish, from our traditional thalis to our fresh momos, is cooked only after you order, which usually takes about 15-20 minutes. We believe that real, home-cooked taste requires a little patience, so come prepared to relax, listen to some music, and enjoy the conversation while your meal is prepared.
Our little space in Andheri West, near Versova, was built to feel like an extension of our home. We wanted a place where friends and families could gather, share a laugh, and eat food that reminds us of the Northeast. The walls are decorated with textiles and memories from Assam, Nagaland, and Manipur, giving you a small glimpse into our culture while you dine.
We do not use fancy presentation tricks or standard restaurant formulas. Instead, we serve honest portions that aim to provide 'barkat' or abundance, just like we grew up eating. If you are new to Northeast Indian cuisine, we always suggest starting with one of our regional thalis. It is the best way to try a little bit of everything, from the aromatic Joha rice to our spicy chutneys.
We love it when guests visit to celebrate local festivals or just to escape the Mumbai rush with a bowl of warm Thukpa. This is a small, cozy restaurant, so we truly appreciate every guest who walks through our doors. Whether you are a regular who loves pork with bamboo shoot or someone trying Axone for the first time, you are welcome here.
