About this collection
What you see here is exactly how it feels on a busy night at our Andheri spot. Our tables are close, the energy is high, and you will often find strangers chatting about what the person next to them is eating. We built this place to be a home away from home, so do not expect quiet, white-tablecloth service; expect a lively, honest meal with people who genuinely love food.
We did not set out to build a typical restaurant. When we started Naga Belly in our Andheri kitchen, our goal was simple: to share the food we grew up eating in Dimapur. That meant bringing the pungent, earthy flavours of Axone, the heat of Raja Mircha, and the deep, smoky taste of firewood-cooked pork to the streets of Mumbai.
But the food is only half the story. The rest happens in the interactions. Whether it is first-timers trying fermented bamboo shoot for the first time, our regulars who know exactly which chilli chutney to ask for, or the foodie groups who turn up to celebrate festivals like Tuluni, this community is what keeps us going.
We love when you ask us about the ingredients, where the Longpi pottery comes from, or how we smoke our meat. We are here to talk, share the cultural significance of what is on your plate, and hopefully, make you feel like you are sitting at our table back in Nagaland. Come for the Smoked Pork, stay for the company.
Naga Belly
We are Aren and Juliet, childhood friends from Dimapur who decided to bring our home kitchen to Mumbai. We cook the food we grew up with, serve it to whoever walks through our door, and are just really happy you are here.
