Come get your hands dirty. In my Jona Pur studio, it is all about finding joy in the mud, making mistakes, and learning to shape clay at your own pace.

A short video about embracing fear as an artist. I believe that being an artist means making mistakes. If you don't take challenges and risk failure, how will you ever create something new?

A proud student with his collection of bisque-fired work. He has created a full set of plates, bowls, and cups, all ready for the exciting glazing stage.

There is no age for learning. This student is rolling out a large slab of dark clay with focus and power, proving that creativity is timeless.

A student practicing his throwing skills on the pottery wheel. The video shows the process of centering the clay, opening the form, and then finishing the piece with a brush.

A student patiently hand-building a large vase. She is using the coiling and pinching method to build up the walls, carefully shaping the form as she goes.

A beautiful moment from a workshop, capturing the simple connection between hands and clay. Sharing this craft with students is one of the most rewarding parts of my work.

A student in my Raku workshop, carefully carving patterns into her pot. The concentration and care she is putting into her work is wonderful to see.

About this collection

Whether you are a total beginner or looking to refine your throwing skills, my workshops are designed to be messy and stress-free. I do not follow a rigid school syllabus because I believe the best way to learn is by letting your hands talk to the clay. You will get to experiment with wheel throwing and hand-building, and yes, you keep everything you make.

When you walk into my studio, leave your expectations at the door. We do not strive for perfection here. You might try your hand at wheel throwing, where centering the clay takes focus and patience, or you might prefer the tactile, slow process of hand-building large vases using coil and pinch methods.

My classes are built around the idea that being an artist means making mistakes. If you do not mess up, you do not learn. This is why I encourage everyone to embrace the unpredictable nature of clay. We cover everything from the basic physics of the pottery wheel to the heat-of-the-moment magic of Raku firing.

I also host specific sessions for Horse Hair Raku pottery, where you can watch carbon lines trace unique patterns on your work. It is not just about the final product; it is about the quiet focus that happens when you are fully immersed in the process. If you are in Delhi and looking for a creative escape, come by. No prior experience is needed, just curiosity. We provide all the tools, clay, and guidance. Just bring a mindset ready to get a little muddy.
