This is one of my 'Erotic Cups'. It's a piece that challenges what a cup can be, exploring boldness and femininity through a sculptural form that also functions as a handle. Each one is a statement.

This stoneware cup, with a handle inspired by the feminine form, is part of my 'Erotic Cups' series. It challenges traditional ideas of tableware and celebrates boldness and the origins of life.

My studio is filled with Moon Jars waiting for the final firing. I love watching how the changing light plays across their surfaces throughout the day, each one telling a different story.

This piece explores our connection to the things we use daily. The hand-pinched cup features a figurative sculpture clinging to its side, a commentary on supervision and dependence.

Centering the clay is the first and most important step in wheel throwing. It requires focus and a connection with the material, setting the foundation for the entire piece.

My Story

We’re The Potter’s Life, but really, it’s me, Suvajit, behind the wheel. Clay called me early in Howrah, West Bengal. Art college in Kolkata, then Santiniketan - that place changed me. Won some awards, yeah, but honestly, nothing beats the feel of clay in my hands. Delhi’s my studio now. Every day, I chase new forms, play with light, and share the joy of clay with folks who drop by. It’s a simple, muddy life.
