The simple act of letting go and trusting the process is a huge part of learning pottery. This video captures the fun and supportive atmosphere of our wheel throwing classes, where students celebrate every small victory.

Our students are crafting sunshine in every coil and curve. This beautiful sunflower-themed pot was created by a student in one of our beginner courses, showcasing the detailed work you can learn to create.

Our hand-building for beginners course is available in both weekday and weekend batches. This is your chance to learn the fundamentals of creating forms without a wheel and turn your imagination into art.

We offer multiple batches for our beginner wheel throwing courses, including weekday, weekend morning, and weekend afternoon options. Sign up to find your center and learn the timeless art of shaping clay on the wheel.

About this collection

If you are joining our one-day 'Rendezvous with Clay' session, please keep in mind that your finished piece takes 4 to 6 weeks to be ready. We handle all the trimming, glazing, and double firing for you, ensuring your creation is food-safe and durable when you eventually pick it up from our Koramangala studio.

Pottery is as much about the process as it is about the final object. At Clay Station, we divide our beginner entry points into two distinct paths: wheel throwing and hand-building.

Wheel throwing is for those who want to master the physics of the potter's wheel. It requires patience, centering your body, and understanding the clay's reaction to your touch. It is a technical skill, but our instructors work to make the learning curve manageable through structured, repetitive practice.

Hand-building, on the other hand, is for those who prefer a more tactile, deliberate pace. You will learn techniques like coiling, slab construction, and pinching to create functional pieces like mugs, platters, or even decorative art. This is often where people find their creative freedom before moving to the wheel.

We offer both weekday and weekend batches to suit different schedules in Bengaluru. For those who want a deeper commitment, our 3-month skill builder course covers everything from clay preparation and studio hygiene to glaze formulation and trimming. We believe in providing a strong foundation—not just a one-off experience—so that you understand the material you are working with.

Beyond the technique, we focus on the community. When you join a class at our studio, you become part of a larger network of students and artists. Whether you are looking for a creative outlet after work or the first step toward a professional career in ceramics, we are here to support that growth.
