About Pottery Workshops and Classes
Why I Do This
Clay brings people back to themselves. There's a kind of magic in getting your hands dirty, letting go of being perfect, and just seeing what comes out. Galti toh karni hi hai yahan (Mistakes are bound to happen here) - that’s the only way new things are made. My studio is more about exploring and less about impressing.
Who These Workshops Are For
- First-timers and beginners who want to try a beginner wheel throwing class without any pressure
- Couples, families, or friends looking for something different to do together
- Corporate groups who want a pottery team building activity to break the routine
- Parents wanting a kids clay art session where little ones can just play and create
- Anyone who wants to celebrate a birthday or milestone in a hands-on way
What Happens Here
- Learn wheel throwing, hand-building, and basic sculpting - no experience needed
- Try out the Raku pottery workshop for wild, unpredictable firing effects (horsehair technique too - it's cool, promise)
- Paint, glaze, and finish your own work - whatever you make, you keep
- All materials and firing? Sorted, so you just show up
The Good and the Not-So-Perfect
Things get messy, pieces sometimes flop, but that’s half the fun. You’ll probably go home with clay on your jeans and a piece you’re weirdly proud of. If you want a perfectly smooth mug on your first go, yahan thoda patience lagega (you’ll need a bit of patience here). But if you’re up for a laugh and maybe even a bit of therapy, you’ll fit right in.

My Story
We’re The Potter’s Life, but really, it’s me, Suvajit, behind the wheel. Clay called me early in Howrah, West Bengal. Art college in Kolkata, then Santiniketan - that place changed me. Won some awards, yeah, but honestly, nothing beats the feel of clay in my hands. Delhi’s my studio now. Every day, I chase new forms, play with light, and share the joy of clay with folks who drop by. It’s a simple, muddy life.
My Work
Ceramic Studio & Custom Projects - We create custom ceramic pieces, from cups and bowls to unique art. Each order is personal.
Workshops & Classes - Beginner pottery workshops, Horse Hair Raku pottery, and team sessions. No experience needed, just curiosity.
Slowmade Pottery Process - Everything’s made slow, by hand - pinch, slipcast, Raku firing. Fire and clay do their own thing.
Art That Makes You Think - We make functional ware and also art like the erotic cups series, mixing Indian and Korean pottery influences.
